Rev. Linda fell in love with an orphanage in Mexico called Casa Hogar after having a series of dreams prompting her to visit. She saw a need to support orphans, seniors, and disabled children in Mexico who do not receive state assistance. Rev. Linda's church, Face to Face Ministries, partnered with Casa Connor, an organization founded in memory of a boy with disabilities, to send volunteer teams yearly to physically and financially assist Casa Hogar orphanage, a senior home, and their new facility for disabled children called CASA Connor.

1. Rev. Linda’s heart and Passion
How we got involved
In 2010, Linda Lewis Wright, vacationed in one
of her favorite spots – Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
After a series of dreams that almost caused
her to cancel the trip, she got a Word from the
Lord through a person who had called her for
a business purpose. The person at the end of
the call, not knowing the situation, offered to
pray for her and said – May you go and fulfill
the purpose for which God is sending you.
With that, all hesitation was gone. After
arriving in Mexico, she was booked into what
she thought was the wrong resort. With peace
from the Lord, she settled in and in a few days,
the Lord revealed the purpose of the dreams
and the change of venue. That is when she
met the Oudmans and accompanied them to
the orphanage, ‘Casa Hogar’ where she fell in
love with Alejandro and Diane. “My heart was
broken for the babies with no family – so
young to be without their mothers”.
After spending time with Pete and Teena,
Rev. Linda saw the bigger picture – In Mexico,
orphans, seniors and children with disabilities
are not cared for by the state but private
organizations relying on the donations and
kindness of others. After learning of CASA
Connor and its plans and goals, Rev. Linda
knew this would be the mission opportunity for
Face To Face. Pastors David and Monica
were able to visit in February, 2011 and were
in agreement.
We plan to provide support for teams to visit
yearly to assist both physically and financially
in support of the orphanage, senior home, the
children with disabilities and the facility in
progress, ‘CASA Connor’.
We thank you in advance for your assistance
with this project.

2. About CASA Connor
CASA Connor, the Caring Abroad Society
of Alberta, is a living legacy created by
family and friends of Connor Vanderveen.
Connor had Hunters Syndrome (or MPS II
a metabolic disorder). It is a genetic
degenerative disease with a terminal
diagnosis.
Connor went home to be with Jesus on
Oct. 10, 2011.
In Canada, the medical care for Connor
and all kids with disabilities is exceptional;
there are resources available for
educational and rehabilitation
opportunities as well as family respite.
But this is not the case everywhere.
With a focus on serving and enriching the
lives of children with physical and mental
disabilities in the Puerto Vallarta area,
CASA Connor—a not-for-profit, registered
society—is committed to providing services
and facilities to allow these kids to receive
all the therapy they require. In partnership
Peter & Teena Oudman
Connor’s grandparents
with Pasitos de Luz, a day home
supporting more than 120 children, CASA
Connor is assisting in building a larger
facility to accommodate the demand, as
well as overnight respite services and
accommodation for volunteers.
It is only through the dedication of our
volunteers and the generosity of the
people in our community that we can
make a difference in the lives of those less
fortunate. We look forward to working
with you to achieve our goal.
