Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

LF Energy Webinar: Electrical Grid Modelling and Simulation Through PowSyBl -...DanBrown980551
Do you want to learn how to model and simulate an electrical network from scratch in under an hour?
Then welcome to this PowSyBl workshop, hosted by Rte, the French Transmission System Operator (TSO)!
During the webinar, you will discover the PowSyBl ecosystem as well as handle and study an electrical network through an interactive Python notebook.
PowSyBl is an open source project hosted by LF Energy, which offers a comprehensive set of features for electrical grid modelling and simulation. Among other advanced features, PowSyBl provides:
- A fully editable and extendable library for grid component modelling;
- Visualization tools to display your network;
- Grid simulation tools, such as power flows, security analyses (with or without remedial actions) and sensitivity analyses;
The framework is mostly written in Java, with a Python binding so that Python developers can access PowSyBl functionalities as well.
What you will learn during the webinar:
- For beginners: discover PowSyBl's functionalities through a quick general presentation and the notebook, without needing any expert coding skills;

2. MUSICAL DEVICES - END RHYME
“I threw a wish in the well, don’t ask me I’ll never
tell, I looked to you as it fell”
End rhyme means that the last word of a verse
rhymes with the last one. So well, tell, and fellall
rhyme because the ell sound the same.
3. SLANT RHYME
“I trade my soul for a wish, pennies and dimes
for a kiss”
A slant rhyme is a rhyme that doesn’t exactly
sound the same, but is really close. So
wishand kiss sound really similar because
the iss, or ish.
4. ALLITERATION
“And you should know that, I missed you so so
bad”
Alliteration means that the beginning of the
rhyming words sound similar. The way
that, and bad sounds kind of
similar, because the a’s sound the same.
5. REFRAIN/CHORUS
“Hey I just met you, and this is crazy. But here’s
my number, so call me maybe. And all the
other boys, try to chase me. But here’s my
number, so call me maybe.”
The refrain, or chorus, is the part of the song
where the music gets loud, or is where you
come back and sing loud more than once.
And this is the part of my song that has the
“loud part” or chorus.
6. REPETITION
“I missed you so bad, I missed you so ,so bad”
Repetition means to repeat something, in
this case, a verse. In this song this line is
repeated about 4 times.
7. FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE - SIMILE
“Pennies and dimes for a kiss”
A simile is like a comparison. In the song it is
comparing pennies and dimes for a
kiss, meaning she will trade money for a
kiss.
8. METAPHOR
“Pennies and dimes for a kiss”
A metaphor is a word compared to an object.
In this song, the pennies and dimes are
being turned into or traded for a kiss.
9. SYMBOLISM
“Pennies and dimes for a kiss”
Symbolism means that that word or phrase
represents something, or symbolizes it.
In this song, pennies and dimes are
trading for a kiss, the kiss represents
something that is being traded.
10. LYRICS
