This document discusses the history and use of cap mohor or seals in Malaysia. Cap mohor were used since 1570 AD by Malay rulers to validate documents, orders, and letters. Important cap mohor holders mentioned include Sultan Omar, the biggest Malay kings, Al-Faqr, and the Bendahara of Pahang in 1806. The conclusion is that cap mohor were used as symbols of authority by leaders to validate ownership, orders, directives, and letters. Seals have been used in Malaysia since ancient times.
