Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, Bartholomew I, calls for the use of alternatives Green Energy versus the use of Dangerous Nuclear Power. He also has called for global prayers for the Nuclear Disaster Victims in Japan. The Italian Catholic news agency, SIR, reported Monday, citing the Greek agency. In view of the Disastrous Explosions in Japanese Nuclear Power plants, Bartholomew stated: "With all due respect to science, we propose that nuclear power, which is Very Dangerous to Humanity, should be replaced by various forms of Safe Green Energy, which are harmless to environment and harmless to humanity." Environmental and human-friendly forms of Green Energy should be aggressive promoted and used, after Japan has experienced this Nuclear Nightmare from radioactivity. "We pray fervently for the Japanese population and appeal to all sides to rethink using the Dangerous Nuclear Power." "The Creator has given us the sun, air, sea and the oceans which can produce Safe Green Energy" said Bartholomew I. The Patriarch has always been an advocate for Environmental Protection. In view of the situation in Japan, high-level representatives of the Catholic and the Protestant Church in Germany have called for the Phasing Out of Nuclear Power. The Central Committee of German Catholics in Bonn (ZdK) said we need to rethink the nuclear power option, in face of the huge earthquake related explosions in a nuclear reactor.
