Report into musical festival improvements
Introduction:
This report intends to evaluate the results of a survey conducted on the public of this year’s
musical festival. Additionally, it will provide possible enhancements in order to improve next year’s
event.
Performers:
What respondents requested the most for next year was performances by more popular bands.
While attendants enjoy spectacles from less known artists, they acknowledge festivals look more
interesting when bigger names are involved. For the next event, it should be considered to bring some
known bands in order to draw more attention as long as it is affordable. Additionally, some respondents
suggested the inclusion of music workshops, which could serve the same purpose.
Use of space:
Some other suggestions involved bad management of the physical space where the event took
place. It was remarkably hard to find a parking space during the later hours. Additionally, toilets were
too far away from the stage and there were too few as well. If the objective is to attract more public, a
better place must be found. A suitable option is to celebrate next festivals near a camping site.
Conclusion:
In light of the above, if music festivals are to grow, they must take place in bigger, more open
spaces. Moreover, some known artists should be performing to attract more attendants. However,
these changes will come at a cost that must be assumed.

Instant communication: good or bad?
Rarely an hour goes by without our phones delivering us a message from hundreds of meters
away. It goes without saying that technology has made easier to start a conversation, but how has these
ease affected our relationships?
On first thought, being able to talk to anyone we know at any moment can only bring benefits:
one can arrange meet-ups without having to had met up with each member individually, can ask simple
questions from the comfort of his home, can keep up with his relatives from a different country...
Instant communication has made our social lives easier and has kept us closer to those we care about.
However, social life is not only about quantity, quality is arguably more important. How often do
you meet your friends face to face? When we have our buddies one tap away it often seems pointless to
see them physically, and when we do, it doesn’t feel like a special moment. Surely, everyone is familiar
with the typical scene of a group of people scrolling through their phones seemingly ignoring the fact
that they are surrounded by their relatives. This situation happens because every relevant conversation
has already been had beforehand, and nothing more needs to be said. For this reason, many of our
relationships end up stagnant and over time the word ”friend” starts to lose its meaning.
To summarise, instant communication is a powerful tool for our social life, but its abuse can
diminish its value. Ultimately, it is our responsibility to keep the quality of our relationships, so next time
you meet your friendsmake sure to make it worthwhile.
