1.0 Overview
A business opportunity involves sales or lease of any product, service, equipment or
any activities that can generate income and profit. There are two types of business that
included in the activities to generate profit which is manufacture and service. Business of
manufacturing also can be categorized as tangible product and service as intangible.
Nowadays, many people have chances to be in the business activity especially in selling food
because the major potential in gaining profit instead of involving in services activity. In addition,
we have chosen three business opportunity to start our business. The first opportunity that we
suggest is Tie Dye T-Shirt that will be created with unique design for every single t-shirt.
Second is Linopot and Losun. This is a traditional food in Sabah for Dusun ethnic. Thirdly is
lipstick that we will made by our own. We will try to come out with unique colour and suitable
for Asian lips colour.
2.0 Three (3) identified business opportunities selected:
A. Tie Dye t-shirt
First idea that our group come out with is Tie Dye shirt. We choose this because is it
not a lot of people selling ‘do it yourself’ shirt. This tie dye shirt process is easy but need some
of ingredients that some of it are expensive and it out of our budget. The process is starting
with Step 1: Wash fabric, Step 2: Prepare fixer water. Step 3: Soak Fabric, Step 4: Fold, Twist
or Tie, Step 5: Prepare Chemical Water for dyes, Step 6: Mix dye colours, Step 7: Apply the
dye, and Step 9: Wash loose dye from fabric. The material that are used to do tie dye are
White, 100-percent cotton T-shirt (or other cotton item), Tie-dye ink kit (which includes tie-dye
instructions) or just several colours of RIT dye, Gallon-sized zip plastic bags, Squirt bottles (if
not using a tie-dye kit, Rubber bands (if not using a tie-dye kit), Water(to add to the ink bottles),
dye for tie dyeing and tie dye chemical. The cost for all the material is Rm 400.
B. Linopot Losun
The third idea that we come out with is a traditional food that known as Losun. Losun
is a Allium Chinese. It is easily available in the weekly market or night market at RM2 ringgit
per pack. The ingredient that we are using is the Allium Chinese are cook with dried anchovies,
white chilli, salted dried fish and Torch Ginger Flower (Kantan). Normally Losun are eat with
rice or rice that pack with leaf(linopot). The type of rice is use are white rice and sweet potato.
The leaf that use to pack the rice is 'Daun Doringin'.

C. Lipstick
The second ideas that our group come out with is lip balm. We choose this because
there are no many lipsticks that are selling homemadeproduct, mostof lip balm that are selling
has many chemicals. The material that we are using are teaspoons of organic beeswax,
organic coconut oil, organic coco butter, unrefined shea butter and organic olive oil. The
process is melting all ingredients in a double boiler. You can use a metal bowl and small pan
of water if you do not have one. Whisk as everything melts. Be careful to not overheat and
remove once the beeswax has become liquid, pour into tubes or pots using a plastic funnel.
Allow to cool and cap when filled. The cost of making this lip balm are not that expensive but
some of the material are hard to find in the shop or market.
2.1 Objectives of Business Opportunities
A. Tie dye t-shirt
- to create variation in fabric t-shirt design (every t-shirt in different design).
- attract children and adult to create their own design.
- provide colourful t-shirt to all customer.
B. Linopot and Losun
- to introduce local food (Dusun) of Sabah widely.
- to prevent traditional food from extinct in future generations.
- to provide nutritious and delicious traditional food.
C. Lipstick
- to come out with our brands without rebranding others’ product.
- to create any variations of colour that may not available in other brands.
- to sell in lower price than other brands.

3.0 Scanning the environment and Identification of needs and wants of customer.

Tie dye shirt is a T-shirt that have a wonderful art with a variable of colours and
patterns. Its colours are bright and beautiful. The patterns also unique with different pattern.
With this wonderful art, it will be more attractive. People who are interested in art will buy this
attractive tie dye shirt. Then, its easy to meet satisfaction and expectation from the customers.
The material or equipment used in producing tie dye shirtis only needs a low cost.It is because
the materials are easy to find. The materials or equipment used in producing tie dye shirt is
dying surface (cardboard or plastic tarp work well), personal protection (rubber gloves, eye
protection, paints shirts and mask), bucket, pitcher or jar, cups or bottles to mix dye, ties (big,
thin rubber bands, twine, sinew, zip ties), pipettes, squeeze bottles (or other tools to apply
dye), measuring cups or measuring teaspoons and dye. All these materials are really needing
a low cost and easy to get. You can all these materials in shop that sells an art equipment.
Losun is easy to plant. It can be plant in water bottle or flower pot. Losun is not like
other plants that needs a suitable ground to plant it. You can plant it everywhere and anytime.
You can plant it in wetlands, hill land and dry lands. You don’t need to take care of it every
time, you only need to sprinkle it with water in the morning and in the evening. Losun also no
need to use fertilizer to plant it. Other than that, Losun contained vitamin B and C, carotene
and sulphur component. It can cure somedisease suchas impotence, high blood, leucorrhoea

and constipation. Losun act as antiseptic to kill the bacteria in intestine and becomea stimulant
in shrinkage and bowel development. It also launched blood circulation at once avoiding
bloods clots.
The first advantages of using lipstick is to beautify themselves. Using lipstick can make
women looks beautiful and their appearance will be more attractive. When they use lipstick, it
will be removing pale on lips. The colour of lipstick is variable and very beautiful. Choosing the
right lipstick colour is important to show the beauty of a woman when they are wearing lipstick.
In addition, when they are wearing lipstick it can moistening their lips, so they will look more
beautiful.
In addition, using lipstick is good to cover the wound on your lips. Damage or wounds
on lips are not good for your appearance because it will make you not feeling well. When you
are wearing lipstick, your lips become moist and its cover all your wounds on your lips which
is disturb your appearance as a woman.
4.2 Weakness

character of the skin.
Tie dye shirt is lack of demand from customer. It is because not all people like to wear
an art shirt like tie dye shirt and some dyes can affect the sensitive skin. People nowadays,
preferring an elegant, trendy and branded shirt such as Nike, Adidas and others branded
shirts. Only people who are interest in art will wear tie dye shirt and people like this are
decreased and difficult to find.
For Losun, there are people are not like vegetable specially onion. This problem can
lead in reducing number of customers. Other than that, the teenagers may not interest to this
traditional food because they not knowing about this food.

Using lipstick can be harmful because it can cause allergies to user. Allergies on lips
can appear when the content of pigment and other chemical in the lipstick cannot be accepted
by the immune system. This will cause, lips become itchy and chapped. When it happens,
women appearance will not attractive anymore. Mercury and methylparaben is one of the
harmful contents that contained in lipstick. Usually, this mercurycontent is on lipstick and other
cosmetic product which is an artificial product of fake brand. Mercury is very harmful to your
health same goes with methylparaben which is can cause an oral cancer. Lead is a chemical
that has been used ever in lipstick. It has been used in lipstick, so lips can hold oxidation,
waterproof and long lasting especially branded and imported lipstick. It also classifiedas heavy
metal that have no health benefits and are described as poisons. If you inhale or touched
things that contained lead, it can seep in your body and staying there for a long time. Through
lipstick, sometimes you can swallow when wearing it. So, it is very harmful to women because
it can cause miscarriage, brain damage and others. Not all lipstick is free from this chemical.

The opportunity for business Tie Dye T-shirt is we can offer high quality designs and
products that meet customerdemand. For example, offer variety a high-quality creative design
and colourfastness.Ourentire product range is fabricated using quality assured fabric sourced
from reliable and certified vendors in the industry. Next, we can expand the business by using
online shopping where customers can order and create their own design. Lastly, by offer
discounts to loyal customers.

Linopot losun opportunity is we can offer the customer by offering delivery services and
take-out or setting up a drive through to meet the needs of people. By doing this, we can hear
the feedback from them and tell them to visit our business location. Other than that, it will
improve staff and customer morale and experience. When the staff morale and experience
increase, many customers will come to our cafe to eat this traditional food. Through customer,
when they trust this food and meet their taste bud they will tell their friends, family and others
citizen to come to our cafe. Through this, we can get many loyal customers to come and can
increase our businesses revenues. Other than that, to gain more customerto comeat our cafe
we can increase the product promotion on social media, flyers and others.
This business, we sell Lip balm to our customer, especially students and other local
citizens. So, we can only offer them a promotional discount during the celebration, to students
and others. Other than that, we also can promote this business through social media such as
Facebook, Instagram and others
4.4 Threat

business with us with a lower price offer to their customer. Furthermore, we may face a
customer that has high demand with our tie dye T-shirt such us they may don’t like our design
or our product quality. Lastly, to dye the T-shirt it may take time to finish if we have many
orders from customer or to finish the customer own design that some time its complicated to
finish.
As we live in modern era, many people especially children and other local citizen didn’t
know this kind of traditional food. Next, to start this business we may competing with other
business nearby especially if we sell similar types of food. This may affect the customer to
come to our cafe.

This business may face a lot competition from other product Lip Balm that already known
among the students. So, this may be hard for us to open and start this business. Next, to start
this business, we may face some customer that the quality of the product did not gain trust
from them. This may affect our business because the customer will choose other product that
already they trust. In this case, it will decrease the profit and revenue in our businesses.

5.1 Key Partners
Our business key partner is a supermarket. This is because, all our product ingredients
we buy through a supermarket. For example, we buy the salt, cooking oil and other product to
make our traditional food.
5.2 Key Activities
This business has many activities, but some of them will be cooking the traditional food
which the Linopot losun. Next, after finish cooking, we pack the food so it's easy for the
customer to buy and take out. Lastly, we sell the traditional food to the customer.

5.3 Key Resources
Some of our business resources in term of the equipment and ingredients to start the
business and cook the traditional food. Our business equipment such as kitchen equipment
like a stove, pans, spoons and utensils to prepare the food. To start the business, we need an
ingredient suchas salt, cooking oil, Allium Chinese, torch ginger flower, white chillies and other
product to cook the traditional food.
5.4 Value Proposition
Our business value proposition is brought to satisfaction to our customers that come to
our cafe to eat the traditional food. Next, we bring back the taste of the traditional food. As we
know, many people prefer eating the modern food such as McDonald, Pizza, and Kentucky
Fried Chicken (KFC) and other than that. This is because they didn’t like the taste of the
traditional food. Lastly, our traditional food is halal guaranteed.
5.5 Customer Relationship
In terms of customer relationship, Rumandawi workers friendly to their customers by
serving their customers equally and respect each other. By doing this, many customers that
come become comfortable to eat and give a good feedback to the traditional food.
5.6 Customers
Our business target customer is a local citizen because some of them already know this
traditional food especially the Dusun races. Next, we want to introduce this traditional food
among children because many of them didn’t know this kind of traditional food and we want
this traditional food still exists in their generation. Furthermore, our target customer is among
the teenagers. Lastly, we target the customer among the tourist. This is because, when they
taste this traditional food, they will give a feedback whether they give feedback in social media
or face to face, this will bring benefit to our cafe.
5.7 Channels
This business channel is social media such as Facebook, Instagram and others.
RUMANDAWI TRADITION SDN BHD will promote this business which is Linopot Losun

through the social media. So, many people will come to our cafe to eat and taste the traditional
food.
5.8 Revenue Streams
Our business revenue streams will be from the sales of the traditional food, Linopot Losun
in our cafe. Other revenue will be selling the traditional food during events and celebration
such as during the Kaamatan festival and others.
5.9 Cost Structure
The cost structure for this business are for worker salaries. Next, the cost structure is for
ingredients for the business. The ingredients is needed to buy every month such us the
cooking oil, salt, Allium Chinese, torch ginger flower, white chillies and other product to cook
the traditional food.

6.0 Conclusion
To conclude all, our shop, Rumandawi Tradition Sdn. Bhd. choose the traditional food
which is Linopot Losun to sell to our customer. We also have a potential to be advanced like
other business because our coming product only can be found in Sabah and the traditional
value also is one of our customers’ attraction. Most people may be complaining that the local
food should be disposed and go through with the modern culture, but the sentimental value of
the tradition is still important to be known by future generation and even current generation.
We will provide delivery service for those are not able to walk in to our shop. In generally, we
will gain the financial return through sales product and the service which is delivery that the
price will be higher than walk in or dine in prices.

  • 3. 3 1.0 Overview A business opportunity involves sales or lease of any product, service, equipment or any activities that can generate income and profit. There are two types of business that included in the activities to generate profit which is manufacture and service. Business of manufacturing also can be categorized as tangible product and service as intangible. Nowadays, many people have chances to be in the business activity especially in selling food because the major potential in gaining profit instead of involving in services activity. In addition, we have chosen three business opportunity to start our business. The first opportunity that we suggest is Tie Dye T-Shirt that will be created with unique design for every single t-shirt. Second is Linopot and Losun. This is a traditional food in Sabah for Dusun ethnic. Thirdly is lipstick that we will made by our own. We will try to come out with unique colour and suitable for Asian lips colour. 2.0 Three (3) identified business opportunities selected: A. Tie Dye t-shirt First idea that our group come out with is Tie Dye shirt. We choose this because is it not a lot of people selling ‘do it yourself’ shirt. This tie dye shirt process is easy but need some of ingredients that some of it are expensive and it out of our budget. The process is starting with Step 1: Wash fabric, Step 2: Prepare fixer water. Step 3: Soak Fabric, Step 4: Fold, Twist or Tie, Step 5: Prepare Chemical Water for dyes, Step 6: Mix dye colours, Step 7: Apply the dye, and Step 9: Wash loose dye from fabric. The material that are used to do tie dye are White, 100-percent cotton T-shirt (or other cotton item), Tie-dye ink kit (which includes tie-dye instructions) or just several colours of RIT dye, Gallon-sized zip plastic bags, Squirt bottles (if not using a tie-dye kit, Rubber bands (if not using a tie-dye kit), Water(to add to the ink bottles), dye for tie dyeing and tie dye chemical. The cost for all the material is Rm 400. B. Linopot Losun The third idea that we come out with is a traditional food that known as Losun. Losun is a Allium Chinese. It is easily available in the weekly market or night market at RM2 ringgit per pack. The ingredient that we are using is the Allium Chinese are cook with dried anchovies, white chilli, salted dried fish and Torch Ginger Flower (Kantan). Normally Losun are eat with rice or rice that pack with leaf(linopot). The type of rice is use are white rice and sweet potato. The leaf that use to pack the rice is 'Daun Doringin'.
  • 4. 4 C. Lipstick The second ideas that our group come out with is lip balm. We choose this because there are no many lipsticks that are selling homemadeproduct, mostof lip balm that are selling has many chemicals. The material that we are using are teaspoons of organic beeswax, organic coconut oil, organic coco butter, unrefined shea butter and organic olive oil. The process is melting all ingredients in a double boiler. You can use a metal bowl and small pan of water if you do not have one. Whisk as everything melts. Be careful to not overheat and remove once the beeswax has become liquid, pour into tubes or pots using a plastic funnel. Allow to cool and cap when filled. The cost of making this lip balm are not that expensive but some of the material are hard to find in the shop or market. 2.1 Objectives of Business Opportunities A. Tie dye t-shirt - to create variation in fabric t-shirt design (every t-shirt in different design). - attract children and adult to create their own design. - provide colourful t-shirt to all customer. B. Linopot and Losun - to introduce local food (Dusun) of Sabah widely. - to prevent traditional food from extinct in future generations. - to provide nutritious and delicious traditional food. C. Lipstick - to come out with our brands without rebranding others’ product. - to create any variations of colour that may not available in other brands. - to sell in lower price than other brands.

In statistics, population may refer to people, objects, events, hospital visits, measurements, etc. A population can, therefore, be said to be an aggregate observation of subjects grouped together by a common feature. We are choosing this place because it is strategic with our food to sell Income Income is money that an individual or business receives in exchange for providing a good or service or through investing capital. Lower and middle income Social approach used to develop activities aimed at changing or maintaining people’s behaviour for the benefit of individuals and society as a whole. Lower and middle class Technological advances The rate of technological advancement is increasing with time, society is looking to create and develop easier ways to live and lengthen their lives. The internet is a massive source of information that millions of people use and depend on every day. Have enough facilities Government Policies and regulation a law that controls the way that a business can operate, or all of these laws considered together. can help protect customers, but excellent customer service requires sustained focus from organisations. Community value Community values are the non- negotiable core principles or standards that the community's citizens wish to maintain. ... The material or equipment used in producing tie dye shirtis only needs a low cost.It is because the materials are easy to find. The materials or equipment used in producing tie dye shirt is dying surface (cardboard or plastic tarp work well), personal protection (rubber gloves, eye protection, paints shirts and mask), bucket, pitcher or jar, cups or bottles to mix dye, ties (big, thin rubber bands, twine, sinew, zip ties), pipettes, squeeze bottles (or other tools to apply dye), measuring cups or measuring teaspoons and dye. When it happens, women appearance will not attractive anymore. Mercury and methylparaben is one of the harmful contents that contained in lipstick. Usually, this mercurycontent is on lipstick and other cosmetic product which is an artificial product of fake brand. Mercury is very harmful to your health same goes with methylparaben which is can cause an oral cancer. Lead is a chemical that has been used ever in lipstick. It has been used in lipstick, so lips can hold oxidation, waterproof and long lasting especially branded and imported lipstick. It also classifiedas heavy metal that have no health benefits and are described as poisons. Most people may be complaining that the local food should be disposed and go through with the modern culture, but the sentimental value of the tradition is still important to be known by future generation and even current generation. We will provide delivery service for those are not able to walk in to our shop.
