Dear Mr. Leo:
I am writing to you in regards to answering the following questions about this particular business email
assignment. The questions you provided were quite thought-provoking as they encouraged me to reflect
about this matter. Without further delay, here are my responses.
1. After having gone through this episode, I would say my presentation, editing, and teamwork
skills have substantially increased in this past week alone. For the presentation aspect,I learned
about a new program, Prezi, which allows me to communicate my ideas and thoughts to others in
a non-stale manner. As far as editing goes, I’ve improved my capacity to thoroughly look for any
errors that must be corrected in my assignments or presentations. With practice in teamwork, it’s
become much easier for me to collaborate with my fellow group members as we have all shared
our contact information and are readily available via smartphones.
2. I would describe the Integrated Business major to a potential employer by using the melting pot
metaphor. I find that this major is impressive when it incorporates the different aspects of the
different fields in business such as accounting, finance, marketing, etc. This major is hugely
beneficial in terms of learning and improving one’s soft skills which includes but is not limited to
oral presentations, effective writing, and teamwork. These are quintessential skills to have in the
real world, especially in the business world, which I find that employers would want to hire me if
I exhibit these skills and accompanying traits as a result of this degree.
3. I can use what I’ve learned this week in my personal life or future job by applying them in
situations that will benefit me. For example, when it comes to effective writing and oral
presentations, I can use these skills to better express my opinions to others in a clear and coherent
manner. This would help me stand out from those who lack these skills when it comes to being
recruited by a potential employer. I am utilizing the concept of teamwork in my group work to
ensure our goals are aligned and are effectively accomplished.
