PURPOSE: To inform the Office of Apprenticeship (OA), staff of the approval of new
National Standards of Apprenticeship for the CompTIA-NITAS.
BACKGROUND: These National Standards of Apprenticeship submitted by Regional
Director, Terry Benewich on behalf of CompTIA-NITAS, were approved by the OA
Administrator on March 19, 2007.
The OA Chicago’s Regional Office will be responsible for maintenance and consultation
regarding this program.
CompTIA was involved in the development of these occupations, and they were approved prior
to these Standards being approved. A copy of the Work Process Schedules and Related
Instruction Outlines are attached for your information.
