Ceviche, a popular seafood dish along Ecuador's west coast, consists of raw seafood marinated in citrus juice. Empanadas de Morocho are deep fried corn empanadas filled with rice, peas and beef. Churrasco, the author's favorite dish, is thinly sliced grilled steak topped with a fried egg and served with white rice, plantains, fries, avocado and salad.
