5. Aims to Empower Bruneian
Youths in skills, knowledge
For better Employability
To the outside world, Brunei, the tiny Southeast Asian monarchy,
looks like a Shangri-La. The country, with a population of less
than half a million, has one of the highest gross domestic product
(GDP) levels per capita in the world. The benevolent Sultan, once
the richest man in the world, has ensured free health and
education and highly subsidised food and housing for his subjects.
However, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) 2019 country
report, indicating that Brunei has the highest youth unemployment
rate among ASEAN nations has raised some troubling questions
regarding the economic health of the country and its dependence
on the oil and gas sector.
The IMF report says that unemployment has increased to 9.3
percent in 2017 from 6.9 percent in 2014 when the Labour Force
Survey was last conducted. The youth unemployment rate
increased from 25.3 percent to 28.9 percent, the highest among
ASEAN member states.
According to the Global Least and Stressful Cities Ranking, the
capital Bandar Seri Begawan has the second-highest
unemployment (6.74 percent) rate among Asian cities.

6. Jumanji Tuition School partnered with Infolab Brunei to be appointed to run and
operate the Private Training and Educational Institution engaged to guide both the
public and youth in Tech based, Artificial Intelligence Courses so that all young
Bruneians and adults are IT savvy that would increase their employability level in life
since the world is moving forward towards technology.
Jumanji Tuition School will also play a part as an Education Mascot in
demonstrating, training and educating the public with the help of InfoLab Brunei and
some other local tech and Fintech companies from DARE to guide and train how to
use our innovative apps in shopping, food orders and deliveries, car pooling, mosque
activities, orphanage updates, library books reading and lots of fun, happy and events.
Local and Private appointed companies are Starra Company, iLiu Realty and others.
Brunei Darussalam, being the host, will be located in the middle of the building.
In the middle of the building will be hosting all Brunei’s SMEs ranging from
Food, Restaurants, Shops, a library, a cinemax, an open concept event hall for
all fun activities and exhibitions.
As Brunei is an Islamic country, M.I.B. concept definitely will be applied
everywhere in the entire Smart City Brunei.
What is M.I.B.?
It is a concept of blending Malay Language, Islam and Monarchy - which the people
have to follow. - a blend of Malay language, culture, and Malay customs, the teaching
of Islamic laws and values and the monarchy system which must be esteemed and
practiced by all.

Why Brunei ?
Over the years, Brunei, which is rich in oil and gas,
has hired many local Chinese and Chinese
expatriates to serve the country. These Chinese
descendants who took root in Brunei are all
Chinese from various provinces in China and
Taiwan. Many of these Chinese descendants are all
working in different types of large and small
businesses or even works with the Brunei
government to serve Brunei Darussalam well.
The Brunei local people love Chinese, Hong Kong, and
Taiwanese dramas and movies. They have been
exposed to many Chinese delicacies such as tim sum,
chinese kuehs, chinese noodles, chinese fried rice, etc.
For many years, many Chinese restaurants and
Chinese shops have taken root in all corners of the
whole country.
Brunei is a safe country, free of natural disasters such

turmoil. This is a very safe and peaceful country where

Compared with many countries in Asia and ASEAN, the

back in 2000, I resigned from my
teaching position in 2004 and start-up
my own Jumanji Tuition School
business. The business has flourished
from a home-based tuition to officially in
operation in our owned and purchased
2-units commercial office spaces at
Aman Complex, Sungai Tilong.
• Each year, we always have intakes of
between 300-500 students since our
operation in 2005. It’s already locally
famous.
• Even during covid pandemic year in

Aman Complex, had a combined
