Companies are facilitating all kinds of interactions
more frequently. Furniture needs to support these
activities to fulfill their goals. Offices stretch their
function as a place to brainstorm, a library, and even
provide for relaxation and dining. We believe that like
a city, we need to identify hotspots within companies
where certain functions develop naturally. Built on the
metaphor of different areas in a city, dquartier designs
furniture elements that create their own little ‘quartiers’
at the workplace. We want to create workplaces that
people truly embrace. Whether it is communicating,
learning, meeting or socializing, we will ‘design
quartier’. By doing so we believe that the
dquartier collections work like a city.

COLLECTION
Eelco Voogd

Levels is the second collection of dquartier. It meets
the need for people to catch up with each other.
The design is by Eelco Voogd, who finds a lot of his
inspiration in Paris where he lived. Levels contain the
characteristics that embody his thinking about design:
elegant, comfortable and versatile. People come in
different shapes and have different needs. Levels
answers to this by creating one simple element that is
lightweight and provides different seating possibilities.
The three heights that Levels can create, make it that
versatile. Together with the different frame colors and
fabrics it fits into public spaces, offices
and home interiors.

QUARTIER
Montmartre is one of the sparkling areas of Paris. People
come in the summer to drink and relax at the steps and
gardens at the feet of the Sacre Coeur. In the streets below
people visit the many bars and outfits with its landmark, the
Moulin Rouge. When you go past the touristy restaurants at
the top of the hill and descent down on the north side you will
find a hidden gem between the beautiful buildings of great
standing. A small street halfway Avenue Junot, called Villa
Leandre, shows one of the most picturesque houses and right
at the corner there is a great little coffee house detonating
with the tourist traps on the other side of the hill.

QUARTIER
People visit Montmartre as one of the stunning views on
Paris. But the true gem of a Paris view is Rue Piat in the 19th
arrondissement. This street at the outer-skirts of the center
has everything you need for a great evening. Right at the
corner of Rue Piat is a small restaurant that in the evening
oversees how the sun sets behind the Eiffel tower. This place
is typical to how Levels came to life. People hang out their
windows, sit on the site curbs and discuss a days work in the
street.

QUARTIER
Jardin Luxembourg is the biggest landmark of the 6th
arrondissement. It’s beautiful gardens attract a lot of people
that want to find some air and tranquility amidst the busyness
of living in one of the biggest cities in the world. Parks make
cities livable and like cities, offices also need
their own ‘parks’ to make work livable.
