Beds were invented to provide sleep and comfort without electricity. Early beds were likely old, weak and wooden, with cotton mattresses and quilts. Beds have since changed, as people developed new ideas to improve comfort, with modern beds no longer looking primitive and allowing undisturbed sleep. Future beds could have wheels, brakes and remote controls for mobility, and adjustable sizes to accommodate guests.
