Brenda Bethea Joins National Head Start Association
As the Chief Operating Officer
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Head Start Association (NHSA) is pleased to
announce that Brenda Bethea has joined the Association as Chief Operating Officer
(COO).
A highly accomplished operations executive, Ms. Bethea’s most recently served as Vice
President of Operations for Third Way, a Washington, DC, centrist think tank, where she
developed and oversaw human resources, administration, finance, facilities, contracts,
insurance and information technology functions. Having worked in large and small for-
profit and non-profit organizations over the course of her career, Ms. Bethea brings to
NHSA over fifteen years of leadership and management experience.
“Ms. Bethea’s proven ability to successfully navigate the delicate balance between
dedication to mission, application of sound business management principles, and
implementation of bold entrepreneurial initiatives is a welcome asset,” said NHSA
