Breathing, Networking, Marketing... all describe mandatory activities ensuring our very 
survival as individual and the survival of our business. It's a fact, if we fail to breathe we die 
within minutes, networking and marketing are like our left and right lungs in the business 
world. If we fail at networking and marketing our business properly, we soon end up in front 
of a bankruptcy court so it's not a question of whether we should do it or not but rather how 
we should do it. 
With the world going through tough economic times, marketing ourselves and our business 
efficiently has become even more critically important, vital even. Marketing, networking 
should therefore become an integral part of our breathing... our marketing and networking 
activities should flow as easily and effortlessly as our breathing so people will feel 
immediately attracted to our offer and will feel more enticed to hear more about what we can 
offer to help them resolve whatever issues they are currently experiencing. 
Remember, the main goal of your networking/marketing activities is to establish a trustworthy 
relationship with people who will eventually become customers and even better: repeat 
customers. Instead of touting about your products or services right off the bat, you'd better get 
to know people's needs first! Nothing will happen unless trust is established, unless a rapport 
is created, eventually developing into a long-lasting relationship; people as we know are 
naturally more enticed to do business with someone they feel they can trust, it's only but a 
natural human reaction. 
With the emergence of social networking platforms and social media marketing, opportunities 
abound. Opportunities to do things wrong too... more and more people enjoy being part of 
interest-centric rather than geography-based online communities.

On top of joining all the major social networking groups that already exist, a smart idea would 
be to create your own so you can share your passion and your brand. Social networking has 
become an absolute must in today's business context and if you know how to invest your time 
and energy wisely the ROE (return on efforts) will be paramount: you will make more friends, 
you will meet more potential business partners and you will eventually generate more 
business than you would ever have expected and thought possible. 
A very common mistake made by a large number of people when building one's presence 
online though is to start building without a vision, without a clear purpose in mind. People 
need to be able to identify what you stand for and what makes you different when they visit 
your online profile and community if you created one. You need to build a brand, a reputable 
and reliable one that is. Attraction is based on clarity, simplicity, authenticity and generosity. 
Once your vision, values and objectives are clearly defined, it's time to go to the playground 
and start building and that's where guerrilla marketing will come in handy. By applying its 
basic principles & strategies and using the free marketing weapons at your disposal, you will 
be able to create a highly attractive presence. You will be able to create a large community of 
people that are passionate about a particular subject or a cause in no time (i.e: I have built the 
world largest Web 2.0 Community of Social-Eco Entrepreneurs with 7,900+ members from 
five continents by simply applying the basic strategies of guerrilla marketing on a zero dollar 
budget. Yes, you read that right: on a zero dollar marketing budget). 
Entrepreneurs, business owners and artists alike, actually anybody running a business on a 
low budget has a unique chance to cash in big time on the relationship economy once it is 
understood how to harness and leverage the incredible potential that social networking and 
social media marketing is yielding. More than ever, the Internet is reshaping how business is 
done in today's global economy. Web 2.0 has brought a cornucopia of collaborative tools and 
Web 3.0 is relying heavily on artificial intelligence and will enable new applications being 
invented to make our life easier so we have more time to spend on our marketing/networking 
activities or to go fishing, biking or scuba diving! 
Regardless of technology, the adoption of a sound and proven model of success for marketing 
your products or services will always remain what makes the real difference in the world. 
Tough times call for drastic decisions, in every economic downturn, some people end up in 
front of a bankruptcy court and some people prosper. When the going get tough, the tough get 
going as the saying goes, but only when they know how! Predictions for the world economies 
indicate challenging times ahead and that puts an emphasis on the necessity to radically 
improve the efficiency of your marketing. 
Difficult times cause problems for many businesses but as always, times of change bring great 
opportunities for those with the right leverage, meaning the right information, the right 
mindset and the courage to take decisive action. More than ever, it is becoming vitally 
important, a matter of survival to have access to inexpensive marketing strategies that will 
enable you to recession-proof your business. It is even possible that you will increase your

It's a fact, if we fail to breathe we die within minutes, networking and marketing are like our left and right lungs in the business world. If we fail at networking and marketing our business properly, we soon end up in front of a bankruptcy court so it's not a question of whether we should do it or not but rather how we should do it. With the world going through tough economic times, marketing ourselves and our business efficiently has become even more critically important, vital even. Marketing, networking should therefore become an integral part of our breathing... our marketing and networking activities should flow as easily and effortlessly as our breathing so people will feel immediately attracted to our offer and will feel more enticed to hear more about what we can offer to help them resolve whatever issues they are currently experiencing. Remember, the main goal of your networking/marketing activities is to establish a trustworthy relationship with people who will eventually become customers and even better: repeat customers. Instead of touting about your products or services right off the bat, you'd better get to know people's needs first! Nothing will happen unless trust is established, unless a rapport is created, eventually developing into a long-lasting relationship; people as we know are naturally more enticed to do business with someone they feel they can trust, it's only but a natural human reaction. With the emergence of social networking platforms and social media marketing, opportunities abound.   • 2. On top of joining all the major social networking groups that already exist, a smart idea would be to create your own so you can share your passion and your brand. Social networking has become an absolute must in today's business context and if you know how to invest your time and energy wisely the ROE (return on efforts) will be paramount: you will make more friends, you will meet more potential business partners and you will eventually generate more business than you would ever have expected and thought possible. A very common mistake made by a large number of people when building one's presence online though is to start building without a vision, without a clear purpose in mind. People need to be able to identify what you stand for and what makes you different when they visit your online profile and community if you created one. You need to build a brand, a reputable and reliable one that is. Attraction is based on clarity, simplicity, authenticity and generosity. Once your vision, values and objectives are clearly defined, it's time to go to the playground and start building and that's where guerrilla marketing will come in handy. By applying its basic principles & strategies and using the free marketing weapons at your disposal, you will be able to create a highly attractive presence. You will be able to create a large community of people that are passionate about a particular subject or a cause in no time (i.e: I have built the world largest Web 2.0 Community of Social-Eco Entrepreneurs with 7,900+ members from five continents by simply applying the basic strategies of guerrilla marketing on a zero dollar budget. Entrepreneurs, business owners and artists alike, actually anybody running a business on a low budget has a unique chance to cash in big time on the relationship economy once it is understood how to harness and leverage the incredible potential that social networking and social media marketing is yielding. More than ever, the Internet is reshaping how business is done in today's global economy. Web 2.0 has brought a cornucopia of collaborative tools and Web 3.0 is relying heavily on artificial intelligence and will enable new applications being invented to make our life easier so we have more time to spend on our marketing/networking activities or to go fishing, biking or scuba diving!
