This document describes a case study of a cardboard box distributor warehouse that suffered an electrical fire, contaminating $200,000 worth of boxes and 25,000 square feet of warehouse space with heavy odor. An odor elimination company was contracted to decontaminate the boxes, warehouse, and 6,500 square feet of adjoining offices using hydroxyl-generating technology. The technology successfully eliminated 100% of the odor from the boxes, warehouses, and offices over treatment periods of 96 hours, 36 hours, and 48 hours respectively, allowing the boxes to be salvaged and shipped to customers and business to continue in the offices. The remediation saved the insurance company and distributor significant costs and satisfied all parties involved.
