Pharmacy Placement in 2016?

6. What support do I get through BPP?
• A Pharmacist Tutor throughout your placement
• A Teacher Practitioner on hand to help with any queries you may
have
• A specifically designed student file to help guide you through your
time in stores
• eLearning modules to support you during the placement

7. Location, Location, Location
• You will be asked to choose three location preferences
– Think carefully about the choices you make – there are more
opportunities available in certain locations around the UK
• It is important to be both realistic and flexible in the
choices you make.
– We will use location choices to place our BPP 2016 candidates
– Please put your location choices in order of preference – you will
always be considered against your choices in that order
– The third location choice will be in one of our priority locations
where there are more opportunities available. If you are flexible
please select an ‘Anywhere in…’ option.

9. Boots Pharmacy Placement 2016 Start dates
• For maximum flexibility we have five different start dates available
over the summer for you to choose from
• You will be asked at application which dates you are available for.
– Please be as accurate as possible, and if you believe your
availability might change please do not select that you are
available
• Please only select that you are available if you can commit to the full
two weeks
• Placement 1: Monday 20th June until Friday 1st July
• Placement 2: Monday 4th July until Friday 15th July
• Placement 3: Monday 18th July until Friday 29th July
• Placement 4: Monday 1st August until Friday 12th August
• Placement 5: Monday 15th August until 26th August

10. What’s next?
• Go to www.boots.jobs/early-careers/pharmacy-placement/ to apply.
Applications open on Monday 7 March 2016 at 9.00am, and will
close on Friday 18 March at 4:30pm
– You will receive an email to confirm your Boots application
– You will receive another email within 24 hours which will contain
the link to the online assessment
– Make sure that you complete the online assessment as without
this your application is still incomplete and can’t be considered
for BPP 2016
• Keep your contact details up to date on your application – it is
essential that you have access to the email address, as we will
contact you using that

11. Remember….
• Everybody needs to make an application to be considered for BPP
2016, including current Boots colleagues and if you have complete a
Summer Placement with Boots UK previously
– If you are a current Boots colleague, you will be asked to upload
a CV – this can be a blank document as we do not require it for a
BPP application
• Please try to be flexible in your choice of location, but realistic – you
must be prepared to work there
• Make time to prepare your application, find a quiet space without
interruptions and only submit one application
• If you receive the link for the online assessment this means you
MUST complete it for your application to be submitted
