This document provides a script treatment for a music video based on James Blunt's song "Bonfire Heart". The script uses scrabble letters to spell out the lyrics in creative transitions and arrangements throughout the 3 minute video. Key lyrics and phrases like "Your mouth is a revolver" and "You light the spark in my bonfire heart" would be visually depicted through manipulations of the scrabble letters on screen or with the filmmaker's hands. The script aims to creatively tell the story and emotions of the song through spelling out the words and rearranging the scrabble letters in sync with the music.

4 second introduction: spell out 'James Blunt' with scrabble
letters.
"Your mouth is a revolver firing bullets" is spelled out in
a scrabble-game style. Hand swipes away the letters and "in
the sky" appears. Letters then fly off screen.
"Your love is like a soldier, loyal till you die" is spelled
out in a scrabble-game style.
When the hum of the background singers is sung, 'Mmm' is
written out with scrabble letters, using a continuous shot
of them going out one side of the screen and threading
through a new shot.
As the M keys go right, the next set of lyrics fly left,
spelling out "And I've been looking at the stars".
"For a long long time" then comes in from the opposite
direction.
"I've been putting out fires" is done so that the word
'fires' looks like it's being magnetised together and the
letters come in from different directions.
"all my life" is spelled out with a string of letters that
go from the upper left corner, dipping down and going back
up to the upper right corner of the screen.
"Everybody wants a flame" is spelled out by the words
spelled out in full. They come on screen from different
directions.
"They don't want to get burnt" is written by my hand going
on screen, picking out the letters from the words already on
screen. I write out the words. I swipe the letters off
screen with my hand.
"And today is our turn". The letters come together from all
directions off screen to the centre to spell out the lyric
in a scrabble-game style. The letters then scatter off
screen leaving behind the word 'day' from the word 'today'
and then it makes up the word "days" to begin the chorus.
"Days like these" are spelled out by the words dragging in 3
lines from the right side of the screen to the left.
"...lead to" is added in a scrabble like manner.
3. 2
"Nights like this" letters replace the "days like this"
letters.
"lead to" moves to the side of the letters.
"Love like ours" comes on screen. Love replaces the word
"lead" and "like" comes from the previous lyric. "ours"
comes from the right side of the screen.
"You light the spark in my bonfire heart" gathers together
from different directions.
"People like us, we don't" is written in horizontal lines.
"Need that much, just some" replaces the letters.
"one that starts, starts the spark in our bonfire hearts"
replaces the letters again, using different directions of
lines.
"This world is getting colder" is spelled out by my hand
putting the letters down on the paper.
My arm comes out (hand is making a fist) from the left side
of the screen, followed by the letters that bounce on the
arm until they spell out the line "Strangers passing by".
The letters fly off screen and my arm goes off screen the
same way that it came on, from right to left.
"No one offers you a shoulder" is spelled out by my hand
coming on screen (slightly out of focus) and throwing the
letters down and rearranging the order of them.
"No one looks you in the eye" is spelled out with a
scrabble-game like style.
"I've been looking at you for a long long time" is spelled
out with 2 lines making up the letters and then "for a long
long time" flies through between the two lines from right to
left.
"Just trying to break through" is spelled by the letters
coming from the top of the screen to the bottom.
"Trying to make you mine" comes on, slightly wonky letters.
Not in perfectly straight lines. They go from top of the
screen to bottom, in a credit-like manner.
"Everybody wants a flame" spelled out with each word going
in opposite directions, eg 'everybody' goes left to right
and 'wants' goes right to left.
4. 3
"they don't want to get burnt" goes in opposite diagonal
directions.
"And today is our turn" is similar to the credit-like
manner, except instead of going off screen at the bottom,
they just go back up out of shot.
"Days like these" is spelled out with the letters on my
hands, "days" on one hand (left), "like" is on the other
(right), "these" is on the other (left again). They 'wave'
in a C shape under the camera, showing each word one by one.
"Lead to" is spelled out on my arm in a vertical manner. I
bring it from the bottom of the screen to the top in a fist.
"nights like this" is spelled out between my fingers.
"Love like ours" is spelled out by the letters flying from
off screen, top to the middle.
"You light the spark in my bonfire heart" the letters stay
still but replace each other. They are formed in simple
horizontal lines.
"People like us" is spelled out sideways, in 'towers' going
up.
"we don't" comes from the right side of the screen, and
'shoots' or runs into the 'people like us' lyric, knocking
them off screen.
"need that much, just some..." spelled out in 'rainbow'
direction. My hand then swipes the letters away.
"one that starts, starts the spark in our bonfire..." is
written out in a scrabble-game like manner. Hand swipes the
letters away.
Video ends with the word 'hearts' spelled out, centre
screen, the letters with slight spaces between each. Fade to
black.
