5. 09 October. (D2) Misicuni loop
An easy four-hour ride through the mountains surrounding
Cochabamba. Everyone gets a chance to get comfortable on
his or her bike, as well as the riding conditions in Bolivia. It is
also a chance to experience some high altitude, as we will
climb above 3600metres. End the day with a group dinner.

6. 10 October . (D3) Cochabamba – Quime.
• We’ll set out directly from the hotel and head out on the
highway. Climb the first of many passes at 4000m above sea
level and the highest being 4735mtrs. Over high passes with
the snow capped Andes surrounding. Descend to Quime,
through the steep glacial valley to our overnight stay.

7. 11 October. (D4) Quime – Chulumani
• Continue our descent, now on 100% dirt/gravel roads, down into
the Amazon Basin. Our journey will ascend and descend several
valleys with steep drop offs – a pre curser for tomorrow!. We
overnight at 1600metres above sea level.

8. 12 October. (D5) Chulumani – Coroico.
• Traversing the mountain, by gravel and dirt roads, to our
overnight destination of Coroico. They make good pizza here
and it is a lively tourist town. You might spot some
descendants of the African slaves who stand out due to their
very dark complexion. (Overnight in hotel Gloria Coroico)

9. 13 October. (D6) Coroico – Oruro.
• Enjoy the awesome winding and twisting "Death Road" road as we climb
back up to the Altiplano / La Cumbre. We'll skirt around La Paz then it's an
easy ride cruising along the Altiplano (High Plains) on tarmac to the town of
Oruro. We remain at 3700m above sea level. During the following days we
will continue to climb to higher elevations so it's a good reminder to keep
taking your high altitude pills. (Overnight in Hotel Lucero Oruro) B,L,D.

11. 14 October. (D7) Oruro – Tahua.
• A long day, the first 150km on sealed road then the
rest along a rough but spectacular road. There will be
Llama, Alpaca, and their shy relative, Vicunya to see
and Wild West looking towns along the way.
Eventually we’ll catch a glimpse of the Salar de Uyuni.
Spend the night at the "Salt Hotel" which is
constructed from solid blocks of salt. (Overnight

13. 15 October . (D8) Tahua – Salar de Uyuni.
• Ride across the spectacular salt plains, with endless photo
opportunities, and experience the sensation of freedom. Picnic
lunch on the salt plains. Visit the historic train cemetery on the

16. 16 October. (D9) Salar de Uyuni – Tupiza.
• A full day’s ride on a remote road enjoying a change in scenery,
from the flat Altiplano to a countryside of canyons, gorges, and
cactus tress which are typical of the wild west in Bolivia. Take
note of the varying colours of the surrounding hills, which
indicate the rich and varied mineral deposits. This is Butch
Cassidy & The Sundance Kid country. (Overnight in HOTEL

18. 17 October. (D10) Tupiza – Potosi.
• A full day’s ride on a remote road enjoying a change in
scenery, from the flat Altiplano to a countryside of canyons,
gorges, and cactus tress which are typical of the wild west in
Bolivia. It's a easy ride, at high altitude, on paved roads to
Potosi. Potosi has some great stuff to see and do. The city’s
grand churches and the ornate colonial architecture make
any visit is a real delight. Potosi is the highest city in Bolivia at
an altitude of 4090mts above sea level. We'll have a late lunch
in Potosi then there's the optional silver minting museum

20. 18 October. (D11) Potosi – Sucre.
• A late start allowing us to see more of Potosi, or an optional tour into
the "depths of hell" - also known as the tin mines. Lunch in Potosi
before our early afternoon departure and short ride to Sucre. Enjoy
“The White City” of Sucre in the afternoon. Sucre is a World Heritage
Site and is the constitutional capital of Bolivia. (Overnight in HOTEL

22. 19 October. (D12) Sucre - Cochabamba
• An easy final day with a spectacular and remote dirt road to
enjoy. A couple of river crossings for a little more adventure
before we re-enter Cochabamba. Enjoy a well deserved Pisco
Sour cocktail and a sumptuous group dinner. Overnight in
HOTEL ARANJUEZ Cochabamba. B,L,D. 180km.

24. 20 October. (D13) Bolivia – New Delhi
• Breakfast in Cochabamba, then catch the morning flight to India.
