DAY 02 n the second day, you are going to be picked up after breakfast early in the morning to start
your day filled with culture, history, and excitement.
When in Yucatan, you cannot miss out on the famous ancient Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza, one of
the new Seven Wonders of the World. At the end of the Early Classic Period, around the year 600
AD, Chichen Itza was one of the largest and most prominent Maya cities. Nowadays, Chichen Itza
is undoubtedly the best-preserved Maya site in the region. It is not only recognized as UNESCO
World Heritage; it was also recently declared one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. It is
definitely one of the most iconic places in the country, a site that cannot be missed on a trip to
Mexico. The most famous landmarks are the Temple of Kukulkan (“El Castillo”), the Ballgame
Court, the Platform of the Skulls, the Temple of the Jaguar, the Observatory, the One Thousand
Columns, and the Sacred Cenote. You will be guided by a local English speaking guide (included)
on your two- hour tour through the Mayan ruins and feel the spirit of the ancient monuments.

6. Following this cultural highlight, we will visit the Cenotes of Santa Barbara and take into the
outback of Yucatan, where the sinkholes are located. After arriving at the starting point and a short
introduction about the area, your life vests are going to be handed out and you will be ready to
explore the area. The site offers four different Cenotes, each one unique in its type, from
absolutely closed caves to big open holes in the ground. To get there, you can either take a bike
tour through the dusty and sandy tracks or you can enjoy a traditional wagon ride, pulled by a
horse.
Feel the wind on your skin and enjoy the ride through the interesting nature, but do not forget to
hold on tight because the wagons can go really fast into the curves! After arriving at a crossroad
in the forest and taking a quick shower in order to keep the sinkholes free from sunblock or similar
contaminations, you can dive into the interesting and fascinating underwater world! For this trip,

7. UXMALDAY 03
Today, we will take to the archeological site of Uxmal, which is about 80 km south of
Mérida. This Mayan ruin from the Classic Period contributes to the historical reservoirs of ancient
Mayan culture, together with the Chichen Itza. You are going to be provided with a local English
speaking guide. Climb up the steep stairs of the Grand Pyramid, it is definitely worth the effort
once you arrived at the top and can enjoy the refreshing wind.
Do not miss out the other monuments in this area, such as the Pyramid of the Dwarf, which
according to the legend was built overnight by a dwarf to fulfill a governor’s challenge.
Also do not forget to visit the ball court, where the Mayans used to play the Mesoamerican
ballgame, a combination of modern football and basketball. A game was played for two weeks
and in the end, the loser team was sacrificed and decapitated, since their heads were used as
trophies for the winners. Other attractions worth seeing in this area are the Governor’s Palace, the
Quadrangles of the Nuns and the Quadrangle of the turtles.

8. After visiting this archeological site, we will take you to the chocolate museum
“Choco-Story”. Did you know, that chocolate actually originates from Mexico and the Mayan
tribe? Or can you imagine that chocolate did not start as the sweet bar it is today, but as a bitter
drink out of cacao beans and water? Usually, in museums, you wander through the halls and gaze
at the impressive artifacts, not in this museum. This museum is different from conventional
museums, since you change from the spectator to being an active protagonist, so you can taste
the delicious chocolate as well as freshly brewed chocolate drinks. The idea of the chocolate
museum is to undergo the story of cacao in the history of Mexico and to understand how it
wandered from Mexico into the whole world.
In six different exhibition halls, different aspects of the history of cacao are being represented, so
that you can follow the timeline from the early years of this fruit until to what chocolate is today.
Following, you will be transferred to the capital of the state of Yucatan, which is Mérida. After
some free time in the hotel to relax at the swimming pool, you will be taken on a city tour to
discover the cultural attractions of the city. Discover the "White City" in a panoramic city tour on
a colorful Gua Gua bus and enjoy the most important places of this beautiful multicultural city.
Discover colonial Merida with its mansions and historical buildings from the XVI century; its
monuments such as the Government Palace, House of Montejo, the Cathedral and the Mexican
version of the Champs- Elysees, the pompous Paseo de Montejo.
Following this, we will take you to the Mercado 60, only a few blocks away from the main plaza.
There you can enjoy delicious traditional Mexican food and creative cocktails from food stands
while listening to live performances of artists.

9. COBADAY 04
On your last day on exploring the Yucatan peninsula, you are going to be picked up after
breakfast to visit the town of Coba, heading southeast of Mérida. Coba is an ancient Mayan city
and the archeological site of Coba is the one site, which contains the largest stone causeways in
the world, as well as many engraved artifacts, that document ceremonial life and important events
of the Late Classics Period of the Mesoamerican civilization.
The ruins are scattered around the jungle, which makes it an exciting adventure to explore all the
ruins. An exciting way to do this is to take an adventurous trip into the jungle by bike to explore
the spacious compound. If you want to enjoy a spectacular view over the surrounding jungle
landscape and the green treetops, climb the main attraction, which is the Nohoch Mal Pyramid.
Not all the ruins have been excavated from the jungle, which makes it an even bigger adventure
to uncover it since it is mainly untouched. Other attractions in the ruin area are the ball court and
the former church.

Once you have had enough of wandering through the jungle and discovering the ancient
Mayan ruin city, you will be provided the amazing possibility of visiting a Cenote. A Cenote is a
sinkhole in the ground resulting from the collapse of the limestone bedrock in the ground that
exposes groundwater underneath, this is a popular phenomenon in the Yucatan Peninsula. The
most popular and most beautiful Cenote around Coba is the Cenote Multun- Ha.
This Cenote is located in a community project called “Parque Ta’akbil Ja”, and is run by Mayan
families. After walking into the jungle with a local Mayan guide, who will tell you a lot about the
flora and fauna, you can enjoy the variety of activities the park has to offer, which include
abseiling, refreshing in a Cenote, underground rivers, and real traditional Yucatan food. You will
be provided with snorkeling gear with you to also explore the underwater world of the unique and
magnificent sinkholes of Mexico. Your adventures underwater are going to be captured by your

After the exciting and exhausting day, you will be transferred to the Grand Oasis Hotel in the Hotel

lagoon.
Today you can be part of a historic attempt to set a new record! We are trying to attempt a city
record of hosting the biggest Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga class in the middle of the lagoon. Find
out how steady your equilibrium is and take a yoga class in the middle of the lake together with
many other people.
Enjoy the meditative activities in the sun, find your inner balance and do not worry if you fall into
the water, it will only refresh you from your activity.

After the snorkeling activities, we are ready to start the party on the boat. Get ready to dance to
