Mission Statement
The mission of BoCoVOAD is to build community
strength, collaboration, and resilience throughout the
disaster cycle; promote implementation of lessons learned
from past experience; and facilitate agile and effective
response to human needs arising from disasters
throughout Boulder County and neighboring communities.
This will be achieved through the cooperation,
coordination, communication, and collaboration of
member organizations.

 Organizations with voluntary membership and
constituencies, including churches
 Nonprofit organizations
 Organizations that have a demonstrated disaster services
program and resources committed to the needs of people
affected by disaster
 Organizations that serve those in need due to a disaster
 Organizations that operate to provide resources or services
throughout the region, state, or nationwide
BoCoVOAD Member
Responsibilities
 Agree to support the mission of the BoCoVOAD and operate
in a manner consistent with the values of the National VOAD
 Agree to have their organization listed on the membership
list of the BoCoVOAD
 Agree to appoint an authorized organization representative
(primary and alternate) to attend regular, special, and
emergency meetings
 Agree to provide up-to-date information on changes in the
organization’s authorized contact information and services
