BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Shan serves as Secretary of the Toronto Chapter Executive of the American Chamber of
Commerce in Canada. Shan recently drafted updates to the conflicts and ethics policy for the
American Chamber of Commerce in Canada.
He is a Juris Doctor Candidate at the University Of Windsor Faculty Of Law and a Student
Researcher for Aroca Litigation. He has sharpened his litigation and advocacy skills by
competing in the Canadian Corporate Securities Law, Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Law,
and Zuber Moot competitions.
Prior to law school, Shan spent many years as a business technology professional and as a
result can create truly innovative, comprehensive, and unique solutions. In his first year of law
school he designed a website that provided legal guidance to self‐represented litigants, a type
of legal expert system. Also, he was Vice‐President of Public Relations for the Charter Project.
Shan also received a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Information Technology Management
from the Ted Rogers School of Management, where he was recognized as among the top 15%
of the faculty of business and graduated from Gordon Graydon’s International Business and
Technology Program as an Ontario Scholar.
A lifelong learner, Shan is always willing to provide help, and learn from varied and diverse
experiences. He is a fan of science fiction and is writing a science fiction novel in his spare time.
