The newly awarded $84 million project is an 850,000 square-foot expansion of BMW's Hall 32.1 Bodyshop in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The expansion, designed by SSOE, will increase BMW's X-series production capabilities by serving as the assembly line for BMW X7 underbodies as part of the automaker's $1 billion expansion plan over the next two years.
