I really did enjoy my time at the library…. thank
you again for all you did. You are a star.
My family love the blog!!!
Author Millie Gray (77)
I loved this event – I used to cry when I was little
if the library was shut and I could not change my
books. I never find time to read much now but I
will really try – also I would like to write down
memories of my grandparents.
Thank you!

  • #3 My background is in science communication and storytelling. Here are some of the people I work for either in digital or oral stoytelling and communication. We’re wired for stories – that’s what people connect to and that’s what I wanted to share from the library. They were already doing great things just like you’ll be doing in your libraries but people don’t realise all the things that are going on in libraries so my role is to help share that via social media.

  • #6 On that note I’m going to be telling you about what we did at Leith library in Edinburgh for Book Week Scotland. Book Week Scotland was the first national celebration of reading in Scotland and took place from the 26th Nov – 2nd Dec. We engaged with different audiences with face to face interactions and we shared our interactions via social media. We engages with as many different types of people (and animals as you can see from the photos) as we could. I’ll start by telling you a bit about the library itself and then we’ll go on to how we planned book week and what we did for Book Week Scotland. I’ve got some videos and audio clips to show you too but just to let you know you can find all of what I’m covering online on the leith library blog! Leithlibrary.
