Blogalicious Weekend Celebrates Diversity in Social Media
Three-Day Action-Packed Conference Includes Hundreds of Influential Multicultural
Women Bloggers and Speakers
Washington, D.C. (September 28, 2010) In two weeks, Blogalicious Weekend
(Blogalicious), the largest blogging conference celebrating diversity in social media, will
kick off their second annual conference at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach, which will take
place October 8 –10, in Miami, Fla. Blogalicious is expected to have hundreds of online
influencers to come together to share ideas and inspiration in the context of Web 2.0.
Many of these women will include online influencers from the Latina community.
A recent report published by AOL and Cheskin states that the number of Hispanics online
grew faster than the growth of the total U.S. population. This year’s conference highlights
the tremendous growth of Latinas online focusing in a meaningful way on the ethnic
voices of Latinas in the blogosphere.
"The Hispanic community is diverse,” said featured Blogalicious speaker Kety Esquivel,
VP Digital Strategy, Ogilvy PR and Huffington Post blogger. “It includes people who
don't have access to technology and those that are leading the latest innovations in
technology. Recent studies have debunked the myth that the Latino community is not
online. I am honored to be a part of this event with the Blogalicious team who

Founded by Mamalaw.com bloggers, Nadia Jones, Nyasha Smith and Stacey Ferguson,
Blogalicious Weekend was launched after these three practicing attorneys, who between
them have seven children, realized that there was a dearth in the blogosphere when it
came to the multicultural voices of women bloggers. Nadia Jones, Nyasha Smith and
Stacey Ferguson are also the founders of Mamalaw Media Group (MMG), a company
