MEANING OF PHRASAL VERBS
A verb compound formed by the combination of a
verb and a grammatical particle, that is, an
preposition.
Phrasal verbs are most used in everyday speech
formal writing. A verb can be combined with
prepositions (as on, in, under), or adverbs ( as
down, away).
PHRASALVERBS
Phrasal verbs = main verb + auxiliary verbs
eating + are => are eating
"They are eating now."
("Están comiendo ahora.")
EXAMPLE:
1. Keep together: we always keep together in this situation
2. Break dowm: this radius broke dowm, we should buy a new
one.
3. Be in: My grandmother be in house this weekend, I will be with
her
4. Call out: I going to call out the world, that I’am happy!!
5. Stay up: I stayed up all night

EXMAPLE:
1.Should I give up this job?Yes, you should give it up.

I came across the book by chance. I Came the
book across by chance
 A few phrasal verbs take a
second preposition
Example:
I am behind with my emails. I
must catch up on them
This noise is intolerable. I cannot
put up with it.
