On August 23, 2014, Noise Pop, along with the Ne Timeas Restaurant Group and
The Bon Vivants, will present the second annual 20th Street Block Party. For one day,
10,000+ Bay Area residents from the neighborhood and beyond will gather on 20th
Street between Bryant and Harrison (and other local blocks being added!) in the Mission
for a free music and food extravaganza. The event promotes and celebrates the excit-
ing developments along this stretch of 20th Street, along with the people and businesses
that are creating these experiences.

Last year saw a variety of offerings such as a free kung fu lesson to a homemade
band t-shirt creation workshop, as well as a class about the art of pickling.

ATTRACTIONS and AFTER-PARTY
Attractions
Complimenting the music at the Block Party are a variety of attractions for attend-
ees of all ages. Below is a sample of what was featured last year:
ArtSpan SF created a workshop tent for free handmade craft projects and a com-
munity mural.
Michael David Rose Studio captured portraits of attendees and published them
directly on the Block Party site via the Nicho App.
Nelson Loskamp was out with his barber’s chair offering free “Electric Chaircuts”
which offered a truly sonic barber experience.
Mutiny Radio joined forces with local literary magazine Radio Silence to host exclu-
sive performances and interviews with Quinn Deveaux, Doe Eye, Cool Ghouls and
Will Sprott.
Ne Timeas Restaurant Group hosted workshops and tastings through the day in-
cluding pasta making, the art of pickling, farmer’s market utilization and bites from
local chocolate artisans.

NOISE POP
Since it began in 1993, Noise Pop has become a north
star for the Bay Area music industry, bringing emerg-
ing and promising talent to the forefront of their events
which include the Noise Pop Festival, Treasure Island
Music Festival, The 20th Street Block Party and much
more. Noise Pop has solidified itself as the true amal-
gamator of Bay Area culture, and with all of it’s events
continues to do what it has always done best: celebrate
the independent arts within the city at large.
NE TIMEAS RESTAURANT GROUP
The Ne Timeas Restaurant Group, is a collaboration
between chef Thomas McNaughton and restaura-
teurs David Steele and David White. Current projects
include: flour + water, Central Kitchen and Salumeria.
THE BON VIVANTS
The Bon Vivants are a nationally recognized cocktail
and spirit consulting company specializing in the
creation of on-premise beverage programs, staff edu-
cation and inspiration, concept and flavor innovation
consulting for spirits brands, branding and guerilla
marketing strategies for liquor companies, audience
identification, ambassadorship, and the composition
and execution of creative curated events. They also
own the bar Trick Dog.

Below is a sample of what was featured last year: ArtSpan SF created a workshop tent for free handmade craft projects and a com- munity mural. Michael David Rose Studio captured portraits of attendees and published them directly on the Block Party site via the Nicho App. Nelson Loskamp was out with his barber’s chair offering free “Electric Chaircuts” which offered a truly sonic barber experience. Mutiny Radio joined forces with local literary magazine Radio Silence to host exclu- sive performances and interviews with Quinn Deveaux, Doe Eye, Cool Ghouls and Will Sprott. Ne Timeas Restaurant Group hosted workshops and tastings through the day in- cluding pasta making, the art of pickling, farmer’s market utilization and bites from local chocolate artisans. After-party Last year’s official after-party was hosted nearby at Mission Dispatch and featured street food vendors, cocktails as well as musical performances by local San Francisco acts playing classic covers from David Bowie and The Clash.
