This document discusses the concept of tithing, or giving 10% of one's income to God and the church. It presents tithing as a test of whether one trusts money or God to provide what is truly important in life like security, freedom and significance. Several bible verses are cited that discuss tithing and how it allows one to put God first, teaches one to do so, and increases one's faith that God will bless those who honor him with their wealth. The document promotes taking the "tithe challenge" by giving the first 10% as an act of faith that God will bless the rest.

The passage discusses God's unchanging nature and his people's tendency to turn away from his decrees. It encourages returning to God through tithing and obedience. God promises blessings and protection for those who bring their full tithes, testing him in this. However, some speak arrogantly against God, questioning the value of serving him. God says he will distinguish the righteous from the wicked. The overall message encourages prioritizing worship over wealth through faithful obedience.

The Captain of our salvation is interceding for His people. He is not a petitioner moving the Father's compassion, but a conqueror, who claims the trophies of His victory.
Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.
The great Captain of our salvation has conquered in our behalf, that through Him we might conquer, if we would, in our own behalf. But Christ saves none against their choice. He compels none to obedience. Jesus made the infinite sacrifice that His followers might overcome in His name and His righteousness be imputed unto them.

In conclusion, it prompts reflection on feelings around stealing and on overcoming barriers to tithing, and encourages testimonies from those
Lesson 11 | Living by faith | Sabbath Schooljespadill
This document provides guidance on living by faith based on lessons from Proverbs. It discusses several key points:
1. Living by faith means keeping God's law, which helps us distinguish right from wrong and understand justice. Those who forsake the law cannot make good decisions or understand God.
2. Living by faith applies to both the rich and poor. The poor have the same duties as the rich, and moral character is more important than wealth.
3. Parents should discipline children with correction and rebuke in order to shape good character, rather than allowing unlimited indulgence. Punishment is meant to benefit the child, not harm them.

Giving to God's work is one of the great opportunities and paradoxes of life. We can't out give God. In fact, the return on what we give will last for all eternity! More importantly, we have an opportunity to leave a legacy in the lives of real people, for all eternity! This Heart Attitude is one of the ways we are united as a community and can help pull the wagon, together.
The document discusses Paul's letter to the Galatians about the true gospel versus a false gospel. It summarizes that the original promise God made to Abraham pointed solely to Jesus Christ. While the law of Moses was given later due to human disobedience, it did not invalidate the promise of righteousness through faith. The law's purpose was to act as a guardian until Christ, as it could not transform people or make them righteous on its own. Through faith in Christ, all people regardless of background can become children of God and heirs to his promise.
This document provides a summary of a 13-lesson series on tithing and offerings. It discusses how tithing was intended to show gratitude to God for blessings and acknowledge that He owns everything. Tithing is also connected to revival and reformation, which increase faith and spiritual vision. The tithe belongs to God and should be used to support His work.

The document discusses the biblical perspective on money and possessions. It notes that the Bible has over 2,300 verses addressing money, more than any other topic besides love. While money can promise security and significance, the document asserts that one cannot serve both God and money. True security and significance only comes from serving God, not money or possessions. The love of money leads people to wander from their faith and causes many problems. Believers are called to be content with what they have and use money to help others rather than accumulating wealth for themselves.

The people of Israel made promises to God to obey his laws, separate from the surrounding pagan peoples, honor the Sabbath and holy days, and financially support the Temple. Specifically, they promised to obey God's laws as given through Moses, not intermarry with non-Israelites, refrain from commerce on the Sabbath, cancel debts every seven years, and contribute annual donations to support Temple services. In making these promises, they sought to faithfully worship and honor God with their words and actions.

Corinthians notes that God has prepared blessings for those who love him that are beyond human understanding. Romans affirms that since God gave his son for humanity, he will also graciously provide all things. Genesis shares God's promise to Abram to make him a great nation and bless those who bless him.

It discusses tithing, giving to God first and from the first fruits, and how obeying God's commands on money brings blessings. May 19 2019 - Sunday service - Never Neglect Tithing - said JESUSCatherine Lirio
This document discusses the importance of not neglecting to tithe based on passages from the Bible. It provides 5 reasons why tithing should not be neglected: 1) Tithing finances the church's vision and plans. 2) Tithing supports workers in the church. 3) Tithing leads to blessings from God. 4) Tithing promises protection from harm and curses. 5) Tithing makes one's home delightful. The document encourages being faithful in tithing to experience God's greater faithfulness in blessings, especially financial blessings.
This document discusses biblical principles of financial stewardship, including tithing, offerings, and sowing and reaping. It explains that tithing refers to giving 10% of one's income to God, and promises blessings for those who faithfully tithe, including prevention of plagues on crops. However, it warns that God cares more about justice, mercy and faith than outward displays of tithing alone. The document advocates practicing multiple levels of giving, including first tithes, second tithes, third tithes, first fruits, and offerings.
The document discusses the Bible's teachings around money and possessions. It notes that two-thirds of Jesus' parables and one in ten verses in the Gospels directly discuss money. While money can promise security and significance, the Bible warns that the love of money is a root of evil and that one cannot serve both God and money. A godly perspective is to not store up treasures on earth but in heaven, use money to serve God rather than be enslaved by it, and find contentment through godliness rather than wealth.
The document discusses the Bible's teachings around money and possessions. It notes that two-thirds of Jesus' parables and one in ten verses in the Gospels directly discuss money. While money can tempt people to make it their master or love it too much, the Bible teaches that we should not store up treasures on earth but in heaven. True security and significance come from serving God, not money.
The document discusses the concept of generosity and giving. It argues that having a generous heart and sowing generously will lead to blessing, while being miserly will lead to poverty. It outlines three mindsets - having not enough in a bag with holes, having more than enough in a basket, and having infinitely more than enough in a barn. The key is trusting God with your resources rather than storing them up only for yourself. God promises to bless the generous.
The document discusses tithing and giving offerings to God. It says that by bringing a tenth of one's income as a tithe to God, He will bless people with prosperity, protection from harm, and progress as other nations recognize their blessedness. Obeying God through tithing and offerings results in provision, protection, and progression. But the ultimate good news is being able to restore one's relationship with God.
The document discusses the biblical concept of faithfulness as a fruit of the Spirit. It defines faithfulness as being rooted in God's unending love, mercy, and covenant loyalty. God's faithfulness is seen in his keeping of promises, bringing triumph to sufferers, forgiving confessed sins, and helping with temptation. For humans, faithfulness means being devoted to God rather than money and keeping one's word even if it causes personal harm. The document urges measuring God's faithfulness by his promises rather than one's circumstances.
This document discusses the biblical concept of tithing and giving. It examines tithing in the Old Testament, noting there were three tithes totaling around 23% of income. In the New Testament, tithing is not explicitly commanded for Christians. Instead, Christians are called to generous, cheerful giving in response to God's grace, not based on a percentage. The document explores what Jesus and passages like Romans 12 and 2 Corinthians 9 teach about Christian giving - that it should be a heart-felt response to God's love from a willing heart, not done grudgingly or under compulsion.
We outline several practical ways in which we can be generous with our finances: tithes and offerings; support of Christian ministries and organizations; gifts to bless other people and alms we give to help the poor and needy.
There is no one so poor as the wealthy man who puts all his trust in riches. We are human beings! God doesn't judge us based on our possessions. Riches make terrible masters but awesome servants!
Jesus entered the temple in Jerusalem and drove out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned tables and benches, and would not allow merchandise to be carried through the temple courts. Jesus taught that the temple should be a house of prayer for all nations, not a den of robbers. The chief priests and teachers of the law wanted to kill Jesus because they feared his teaching and the crowds' amazement at his teaching.
This document is a sermon about choosing to serve God over wealth and other masters. It discusses passages from Joshua 24:14-15, Matthew 6:19-24, and Luke 16:10-15 about choosing who or what to worship and serve. The sermon argues that people cannot serve both God and money, and should instead store up treasure in heaven through good deeds and sharing with others, since earthly treasures are fleeting but heavenly rewards last forever. It encourages setting one's heart and mind on heavenly things rather than earthly desires so that one's ultimate master is God.

Transforming earth into a paradise – part 3Sabry Shaheen
Jesus taught that obeying God and doing good works will allow believers to receive God's rewards in heaven. He taught believers to act as salt and light by guiding others to the truth through good works. Jesus urged believers to trust that God answers prayers. He warned of false teachers who mislead people and advised evaluating teachers by their deeds. Jesus confirmed the teachings of the Old Testament like loving God and others. He taught that true faith is shown through obedience, not just words. Overall, Jesus' teachings focused on obeying God, doing good works, and transforming earth through compassion, as this would lead to salvation and eternal life.
This document discusses the biblical principle of tithing, or giving 10% of one's income to God. It cites several passages from the Old and New Testaments that establish tithing. These include passages from Leviticus, Malachi, and Matthew that speak of tithing and the blessings that come from honoring God with the first portion of one's resources. The document asserts that tithing was affirmed by Jesus and practiced in the early church as evidenced in Acts.

This document discusses the Christian concepts of stewardship and tithing. It defines stewardship as the management of affairs not one's own, and describes Christians as stewards of the gifts God has given them, including time, abilities, spiritual gifts, materials, and money. The document then discusses tithing, which is giving 10% of one's income to God. It provides biblical justification for tithing and explains that tithing is a form of worship, builds faith, supports God's servants and work, and will result in blessings and protection from God. The document notes some reasons people may not tithe and promises blessings for those who do tithe regularly. It concludes by stating that tithes should be given
This document discusses biblical principles of high definition finances. It defines high definition finances as being debt free, having a surplus, tithing, being free from materialism, and being a giver. It then outlines four financial truths from the bible: 1) God owns it all, 2) God entrusts us with some resources, 3) God gives us freedom to choose how to use our resources, and 4) God blesses us and others when we exercise good stewardship. The document concludes with five action steps to apply these principles.

Connection; Why Does it Matter?
Week 1, Feb 2nd, Hans Rasmussen
Not everyone understands connection and sometimes that is because they don’t see its value. And initially, it can be difficult to explain its importance. Yet, over time any social group- weather it is family, community or work- the lack of connection takes its toll as those social groups that lack connection begin to falter or fall a part. This series will begin by trying to explain why connection is important and what its role is for creating legacy.

NW Midweek disipling series class #1 6-7-17DenverCoC
This document discusses discipleship and healthy discipleship relationships. It begins with a survey asking people to rate their discipleship relationships and the church's discipleship on a scale of 1-10. It then discusses a healthy discipleship model focused on Jesus as the master and using men as the method. It contrasts man-focused vs Christ-focused discipleship and discusses the purpose of discipleship as presenting everyone perfect in Christ.
The document discusses the concept of generational drift, using examples from the Bible. It describes how the generations that came after Joshua and Caleb drifted from serving God, as seen in Judges 2 when that generation did not know the Lord. It provides similar examples from Ephesus, where later generations forsook their first love and turned to false teachers. The document suggests ways to prevent this drift through generational lift, by doing again what was done before, learning again the teachings, and having ongoing need for each other across generations within the church.
This document appears to be an outline for a sermon or talk given by Sonny Rhyne on the topic of spiritual drift and lift. It includes three main points: discussing spiritual drift using John 15:1 and Jeremiah 2, examining spiritual lift through John 15:2-7, and a final point on spiritual topics.

Lucid Dreaming: Understanding the Risks and Benefits
The ability to control one's dreams or for the dreamer to be aware that he or she is dreaming. This process, called lucid dreaming, has some potential risks as well as many fascinating benefits. However, many people are hesitant to try it initially for fear of the potential dangers. This article aims to clarify these concerns by exploring both the risks and benefits of lucid dreaming.
The Benefits of Lucid Dreaming
Lucid dreaming allows a person to take control of their dream world, helping them overcome their fears and eliminate nightmares. This technique is particularly useful for mental health. By taking control of their dreams, individuals can face challenging scenarios in a controlled environment, which can help reduce anxiety and increase self-confidence.
Addressing Common Concerns
Physical Harm in Dreams Lucid dreaming is fundamentally safe. In a lucid dream, everything is a creation of your mind. Therefore, nothing in the dream can physically harm you. Despite the vividness and realness of the dream experience, it remains entirely within your mental landscape, posing no physical danger.
Mental Health Risks Concerns about developing PTSD or other mental illnesses from lucid dreaming are unfounded. As soon as you wake up, it's clear that the events experienced in the dream were not real. On the contrary, lucid dreaming is often seen as a therapeutic tool for conditions like PTSD, as it allows individuals to reframe and manage their thoughts.
Potential Risks of Lucid Dreaming
While generally safe, lucid dreaming does come with a few risks as well:
Mixing Dream Memories with Reality Long-term lucid dreamers might occasionally confuse dream memories with real ones, creating false memories. This issue is rare and preventable by maintaining a dream journal and avoiding lucid dreaming about real-life people or places too frequently.
Escapism Using lucid dreaming to escape reality can be problematic if it interferes with your daily life. While it is sometimes beneficial to escape and relieve the stress of reality, relying on lucid dreaming for happiness can hinder personal growth and productivity.
Feeling Tired After Lucid Dreaming Some people report feeling tired after lucid dreaming. This tiredness is not due to the dreams themselves but often results from not getting enough sleep or using techniques that disrupt sleep patterns. Taking breaks and ensuring adequate sleep can prevent this.
Mental Exhaustion Lucid dreaming can be mentally taxing if practiced excessively without breaks. It’s important to balance lucid dreaming with regular sleep to avoid mental fatigue.
Lucid dreaming is safe and beneficial if done with caution. It has many benefits, such as overcoming fear and improving mental health, and minimal risks. There are many resources and tutorials available for those interested in trying it.

This lecture created by Brandon Taylorian (aka Cometan) specially for the CESNUR Conference held Bordeaux in June 2024 provides a brief introduction to the legacy of religious and philosophical thought that Astronism emerges from, namely the discourse on transcension started assuredly by the Cosmists in Russia in the mid-to-late nineteenth century and then carried on and developed by Mordecai Nessyahu in Cosmodeism in the twentieth century. Cometan also then provides some detail on his story in founding Astronism in the early twenty-first century from 2013 along with details on the central Astronist doctrine of transcension. Finally, the lecture concludes with some contributions made by space religions and space philosophy and their influences on various cultural facets in art, literature and film.

Lição 12: João 15 a 17 – O Espírito Santo e a Oração Sacerdotal | 2° Trimestr...OmarBarrezueta1
