and fiscal impact studies for state and local government agencies, industry trade groups, and nonprofit
organizations, such as the Kentucky Fair Board, Kentucky Center for the Arts, Kentucky Commission on
Military Affairs, Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, Louisville Water Company, LG&E, Kentucky
Distillers Association, Kentucky Automotive Industry Association, and Speed Art Museum.
Created spreadsheet based regional economic and fiscal impact models for the Kentucky Economic
Development Cabinet, Louisville Forward, Greater Louisville, Inc., Commerce Lexington, and the Economic
Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana. These are used to assess the benefits of business attraction
initiatives.
Developed extensive knowledge of human capital and workforceissues and data. Conducted research into
the impact of higher educationon the expected work-lifeearnings of Louisvilleand Kentucky residents, and
was responsible for the data analysis behind KentuckianaWorks’ Human Capital Scorecard and
Occupational Outlook.
Providedextensive analysis of the state budget forthe 2004 study “Kentucky’sEconomic Competitiveness:
A Call for Modernization of the State’s Fiscal Policies,” commonly known as the Leakage Study.
