Centrifugal compressors are robust machines that can compress various gases. They are commonly used in oil and gas, air separation, chemical, iron and steel industries. Centrifugal compressors are classified based on design pressure and intake volume flow. Axial compressors attain higher pressures up to 20 bar but lower flows up to 1.4 million m3/h. Isotherm compressors integrate cooling to compress process air with minimal energy. They are characterized by low energy use, noise and size. There are three types of isotherm compressors differentiated by volume flow and design.
