Bipolar Creatives:
From Plato to Eminem
Submitted by Ingrid Salim
EDUC 507
July 2015
Annotation
As a bipolar person, I chose to focus on creatives
who either exhibited huge mood swings throughout
their lives but lived before we diagnosed mood
disorders, or were actively diagnosed with bipolar
disorder. The only one in question would be the
most modern example, Eminem, whose mother
has claimed he is bipolar (incredible given her drug
abuse) but whose friends and others have
indicated intense mood swings, likely indicating
some kind of bipolar disorder.
Plato 424– 347 BCE
