With a career spanning over 40 years in both hospitality and gaming, Michael French has a reputation for developing
talented and motivated teams that deliver world class service while producing superior financial results. He has held
senior leadership positions in leading integrated casino resorts, resorts, hotels and free standing casinos in the US
and internationally. Michael has served in senior executive positions in 10 facility openings including 3 “mega”
integrated casino resorts.
Mr. French most recently served as Senior Vice President for Global Gaming Asset Management (GGAM). GGAM is a
casino development and operating company based in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, Mr. French spent the vast majority
of his time coordinating and overseeing company activities to ready the Baha Mar integrated resort in Nassau
Bahamas for opening. GGAM holds the management contract to operate the 100,000 sq ft casino and the 1,000
room luxury casino hotel.
Prior to his corporate role with GGAM, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Solaire Manila, managed by GGAM at
that time. Mr. French was responsible for all aspects of operating and managing the integrated resort located in
Entertainment City, comprised of a world class casino with 300 tables games, 1,200 slot machines, a 500 luxury
guestroom hotel, 7 restaurants, 4 lounges and a spa. Mr. French also participated in the development of corporate
strategies which included future phases of the property and participated in activities to take the company “public”
on the Philippines Stock Exchange which was accomplished prior to opening.
Previous to joining the Solaire team, Mr. French was a member of the Melco Crown team in Macau from 2007 to
2012. When appointed by Melco Crown to be the Senior Vice President of Operations he was the “first” employee
of the City of Dreams “mega-integrated casino resort” under construction at that time. During his tenure at City of
Dreams he was responsible for the development and implementation of all operating processes, plans and strategies
during the pre-opening phase of the $2.3 billion usd property and post opening he was responsible for all
operational aspects of the complex including gaming operations, hotel, food and beverage, spa and engineering
operations.
He also served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Melco Crown’s luxury property, Altira for over a
year before leaving Macau. Altira was one of two Forbes Five Star Rated hotels in Macau and boasted a 70,000 sq ft
Forbes Five Star Spa and a One Star Michelin Restaurant.
With more than 40 years of experience in hospitality and gaming, he began his career in the hotel industry. Michael
has held various executive leadership positions in resort, convention and city center hotels including Managing
Director of the 1,620 room Anatole Hotel and Conference Center in Dallas, Texas, V.P and Managing Director of the
900 room Peabody Hotel in Orlando Florida and other top leadership positions in hotels throughout the US.
He entered the gaming industry in 1995 at Caesars Palace as the Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations with
responsibility for all non-gaming operations including the 2,000 room hotel, 25 restaurants, 150,000 square feet of
banquet and conference space, retail, engineering, hotel sales, 20,000 sq ft Spa and capital projects. During his
tenure Michael oversaw the activities for the design and building of the first phase of Caesars Palace renovation and
expansion with a budget of $500 million usd in addition to his day to day operating responsibilities.

After several years at Caesars, Michael became the Senior VP of Operations (gaming and non-gaming) at the
Venetian Resort Casino in Las Vegas and was directly responsible for operations of the casino with 2,000 slot
machines, 150 tables, 3,000 suites, 250,000 square feet of meeting and conference space, food and beverage,
security, entertainment and Engineering. Michael was one of the first executives to join the Venetian Las Vegas team
one year prior to opening and oversaw all operations for the first 3 years of Venetian’s record setting performance in
Las Vegas.
During his career in the gaming industry, in addition to the Venetian and Caesars Palace he has been the Chief
Operating Officer of the Inn of the Mountain Gods in New Mexico USA and a consultant in the gaming industry
working with various Native American Tribes in the development of their casino and hospitality projects. While at Inn
of the Mountain Gods he participated in efforts to raise $200,000 in public bond financing.
Mr. French has held key leadership positions for ten property openings including the City of Dreams, the Venetian in
Las Vegas, a major expansion of Caesars Palace as well as other hotel and casino openings in the United States.
Throughout his career Mr. French has served on the board of directors for various industry and community
organizations and associations, including the American Lodging Assn (Board member and officer in Dallas, Orlando
and Las Vegas), the Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau and is an
Officer in the Chaine des Rotisseurs.
