What is Technical Communication?
Technical Communication is a large discipline that focuses on writing
about technical or specialized topics, like rules and regulations or
medical procedures; communicating through technology, such
as websites or email; and explaining how to complete any task
(“technical” or otherwise), including print help documentation or
instruction manuals.Technical communicators are trained in making
complex information easier to understand and access for
their audiences. When information is easy to
find and understand, an audience is more likely
to solve their problem or accomplish their goal.
