Once again, thanks for all person that involved during this course work were in processing. <br />Thank you.<br />Wassalam…<br />2.0 ALOR STAR – The Heart of The Country’s Rice Bowl<br />Most people in Malaysia know about this place situated in the north of Malaysia. Alor Star or the long time ago called Alor Setar derives its name from a waterway ( Alor ) and a giant tree ( Setar ). It is the state capital of Kedah, or also populars known as the “ Rice Bowl of Malaysia” because it supplies more than 49% of the country’s rice production.. <br />The paddy field is a serene natural beauty about Alor Star. It is surrounded by the lush greenery of paddy during the planting season and the golden hue of rice stalks was happen, it started for harvesting. Alor Star also have a new landmark called Menara Alor Star. <br />The telecommunication tower is 165-metres tall within revolving restaurant at the top of the tower. We can get a bird’s eye view of the town from the the top too. The government of Kedah made the Padi Museum symbolic of The Country’s Rice Bowl.<br /> The museum, nine kilometres from the town center is an intergrated complex showcasing about the A to Z of various activities revolving round padi ( rice ), the staple fond of Malaysians.<br /> In addition, we can visit the River Cruise showing the river terrapins sanctuary and the traditional fishing village. It also the World War II Japanese bridge.<br /> Visitors who love good fishing grounds and anglers can take a ride from the boat owners at Kuala Kedah for a fishing trip to nearby Pulau Bidan, Pulau Telur and Pulau Songsong. <br /> Kedah also populars with traditional foods and seafood. The most populars food in Kedah are char kueteow and kueteow kerang. The well-known restaurant of both of foods are “Iman- Char Kueteow”, “Bamboo Restaurant”, “Jingga Restaurant” and many more. Visitors can enjoy the seafood at Kuala Kedah, the Ferry’s terminal to go to Langkawi ang the submarine centre. The visitor get the chance to try the ikan bakar and satay. <br />The traditional foods in Kedah are kuih karas, cucur peneram, cakar ayam, dodol, bahulu and others where we can get them at the Pekan Rabu.<br />As a conclusion, all the tourists who come to visit Kedah have never felt negleted or suffered a loss because they enjoy themselves visiting the interesting places, foods and cultures in Kedah. Most visitors either from local or others countries said that they will never forget their experiences in Kedah and hope they will come again for the next time. <br /> (416 words )<br />3.0 REFLECTION<br />Assalamualaikum w.b.t and hello,<br />Firstly I would like to thank God for giving me chances to finish this assignment even there are many obstacles that I have to face. Secondly, specially thank my lecturer, Mr. Rahim Noh who gives me support and help me.He also gives us guideline to finish our assignment. Then, I thank my friends, not only my classmates but my friends in my blocks who teach me a lots to finish this assignment. <br />Firstly, I have prepare early to buy the ink for my printer. I regret of using others’ printer because its burden me as its charges highly. For sure my money would fly away for nothing because I already have the printer but not using it. But, earlier is better.<br /> From this assignment, it gains me more knowledge especially about historical places as I’ve choosen this topic as my essay. When I just got this assignment,I’m very happy because the topics that are given to us actually are not too tough because they were about our current issue and for surely,I’m glad for that things!<br />By doing some researches about this topic,I know many new things and useful informations that quite attract me to go to Kedah compare to this before. <br /> By choosing Kedah,I can easily get many informations about it from internet especially. I may get to know about Gunung Jerai,Makam Mahsuri,and Menara Alor Star.<br />I realize that my obstacles are not burdening me a lot.
