According to this table, the horror genre is not the most popular genre. As we can see the most popular
genres ranked by gross box office are Action, Animation and Sci-fi. Horror is quite popular and had a
good amount of releases compared to sci fi, even though it has a higher percentage of total box office.

2.7% that is pretty low.
Also these are the top 20 films for 2015, none of them are of the horror genre. This shows the horror
genre is not the most popular genre according to the BFI statistical yearbook. However, when associated
