Humble Beginnings The Earliest Recorded writing Originally thought to be Mesopotamian, 4000 B.C., recent discoveries of tortoise shells containing ancient writing have been found in Neolithic graves in the province of Jiahu in Henan (Western China). Carbon dating suggests these are the earliest recorded writings at 6,600 - 6,200 B.C. The Rosetta Stone – our key to the past Sorted stories surround the discovery of this stone that was used to unlock the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic and cursive Demotic writ.

Editor's Notes

  • #2 In the following slides we’ll take a quick look at how technological innovation is challenging the traditional approaches to education and communication. We are standing on the cusp of a new era that pushes our learning and collaborative capabilities past the physical confines of office cubicals and university halls, beyond brick and mortar.
