The goal is to cultivate a relationship between the owner and plant by having the plant signal its needs directly rather than the owner guessing. A timeline is provided for testing the moisture sensor, connecting it to an Arduino board and Bluetooth, and fabricating the finished smart pot for an exhibition by December.
The document provides guidelines for volunteers on caring for animals at an animal shelter. It outlines policies on access to animal areas, intake procedures, housing animals separately by species and health status, daily care routines like feeding, cleaning and monitoring animals, procedures for loose or aggressive animals, and operations if the shelter allows owners to care for their animals on site.

Winter poses health risks to pets that owners need to be aware of and prepare for. Owners should continue exercising pets outside in the winter by bundling them up in coats and boots. They must ensure pets have access to unfrozen water at all times and that vulnerable pets like seniors or those with health conditions only spend short times outside. Owners also need to protect pets' paws from salt and chemicals on walkways and provide warm shelter if pets are outside for parts of the day.

Children who grow up with pets exhibit higher levels of empathy, social skills, self-esteem and cognitive development because pets teach them compassion and how to care for others. The unconditional love from a pet can improve overall well-being and happiness.
Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

1 Glove brushes
2 Mobile grooming machines
6. Monitoring
When we aren't around, we want to know what our
pets are getting into. Instead of coming home
surprised to a ripped up couch, you can watch your
pet in the act (and hopefully prevent future
incidents). Through either of the two systems listed
below, you can check in on your little one anytime
you aren't around.
1
Dog Monitor - App (use with
current devices)
2 Nest- Camera system + App
