1) Feeding and providing for 2-3 million people in the desert for 40 years would have required an immense logistical effort, including 1,500 tons of food, 4,000 tons of wood, and 11 million gallons of water delivered daily. 2) Getting the Israelites across the Red Sea in one night would have required an opening 3 miles wide to allow 5,000 people to pass abreast, taking 35 days to pass single file. 3) Each night's camp would have required an area the size of Rhode Island, totaling 750 square miles to accommodate everyone, demonstrating that Moses could not have planned for these immense needs himself.
