2. Precast Low and Zero Profile Enclosures
Controlled Environment Cabinets (CEC)
Controlled Environment Cabinets are ideal for smaller applications where space is
limited. Above ground or partially buried for low profile applications, CEC’s can be
installed on your site in hours. Available in sizes up to 60 square feet, CEC’s are a
superior alternative to metal cabinets. Site preparation is easy and inexpensive.
Upon installation of the CEC, technicians can work and maintain equipment in any
weather condition in a comfortable controlled environment. Oldcastle CEC’s allow for
expansion and will accommodate six bays of electronics, in addition to battery and
rectifier gear. The CEC is strong, secure and small enough to fit your equipment
where space is a premium.
Controlled Environment Manholes (CEMH)
Oldcastle’s urbanomically designed, zero profile Controlled Environment Manholes
allow for the installation of a vault that has been pre-wired for lighting, air conditioning,
alarms and any other customer requirements.
The CEMH is flush to grade and visually appealing. It’s easy to permit and offers an
electronic equipment enclosure right where you need it, out of sight. A compression
sealed entry hatch permits placement flush with the ground, pavement or sidewalk.
This heavy gauge galvanized steel hatch is vandal resistant and it won’t compromise
your equipment if flooding occurs.
CEMH’s contain two levels. The top level includes the air conditioning, control assembly,
power entrance, transfer switch and an emergency power generator connector. The
bottom level houses the telecommunications and environmental control equipment.
Controlled Environment Vaults (CEV)
Our below-grade Controlled Environment Vaults are secure and watertight. These
two-piece precast concrete structures install quickly at a prepared site and come
pre-wired with HVAC, lighting and alarms per customer requirements.
For underground applications from 60 to 375 square feet, the CEV is an optimal choice
offering unmatched security for your network requirements.
Microcell™ Environment Vaults
Oldcastle’s Microcell Environment Vaults are ideal for applications where shallow
excavation and/or size restrictions require small vaults. Equipment can be placed out
of sight and secure from the weather. In addition to having a zero profile, they offer
unmatched security and are cost effective.
