Belize is located in Central America between Guatemala and Mexico. It has lush tropical jungles home to birds like toucans and jaguars, as well as ancient ruins and waterfalls. The people of Belize are friendly and speak English, Spanish and Belize Kriol. One of the first Jehovah's Witnesses to arrive in Belize was James Gordon in 1923, and as of 2013 there were over 2,400 Jehovah's Witnesses across 58 congregations in the country. The Belize Barrier Reef is the second largest reef in the world, home to over 500 fish species and habitat to endangered sea turtles, manatees and crocodiles.
