The typical length of a spontaneous smile, one
brought about by suddenly spotting a friend, or
when a loved one's hand reaches out and
squeezes yours, is less than a second, yet it
sends a powerful message of undeniable
happiness.
The particular muscles used for the unselfconscious, impulsive smile are so specific that
psychologists refer to it as the "Duchenne smile,"
named for the anatomist who identified it. Many
psychologists believe it to be the one indication of
sincere enjoyment.

3. About Facial Mucles

Other facial muscles are used for different types
of smiles, which may be the reason for different
responses to another's "happy expression." One
thing is universally understood, even by infants: A
