A Presentation given by Kimron Corion at Be Good Be Social, Social Media conference 2017. I presented my model developed as part of my research at Ryerson University. The model created and presented is a roadmap to guide organizations especially nonprofits how to plan and execute successful Social media campaigns that are powered by Storytelling. The aim is to help boost brand awareness and awareness about fundraising campaigns. The proposed model is based on a multi-platform analysis of social media outreach campaigns of 3 successful nonprofits: #NotaTarget campaign by Doctors without Borders, Sick Kids Vs the Undeniable by Sick Kids Hospital and #IDefy by Planned Parenthood Association of America. Based on the comparative analysis, the talk will demonstrate how nonprofits can use storytelling on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) to increase online engagement, attract potential donors and boost fundraising campaigns.
