Even very sensitive data, like the information about our location or body functions recorded by different sensors. And we are very much willing to provide these data, if we’re expecting certain benefits: personalized traffic information, temperature regulation based on my own preferences, fitness progress etc. We enjoy the convenience of products, which rely on data personalization.
Additionally, most providers of digital products are not necessarily interested in making privacy settings transparent and accessible – as user data is their most precious asset. And they know – when faced with the choice between privacy and convenience users usually pick the latter. But do privacy and convenience really have to be contradicting concepts? Is it possible (and desirable) to ensure protection of privacy while providing great user experience?

This identified modifications to allow production of the new capacity of 30 MMscf/d along with additional future capacity. GCC's redesign of the gathering system and reallocation of compression resources allowed the client to maintain 30 MMscf/d production while reducing annual costs by $800,000.

IRJET- Design and Analysis of Catalytic Converter of Automobile Engine
This document summarizes a study on the design and analysis of a catalytic converter for an automobile engine. The researchers designed a baseline catalytic converter model using CAD software and analyzed it using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to study the pressure and velocity distribution. They found high pressure losses and non-uniform flow distribution. IRJET- Nonlinear Analysis of a Superplastically Formed Automotive Fender
This document summarizes a finite element analysis of superplastic forming of an automotive fender panel using two aluminum alloys, 5182 and 8090. The analysis was conducted using ABAQUS software to evaluate metrics like blank holder pressure, thinning percentage, stress, and energy for each material. Results showed the maximum thinning of the fender made from alloy 5182 was 50% with a peak stress of 927 MPa and blank holder pressure of 1760 kN. For the 8090 alloy fender, maximum thinning was also 50% with lower peak stress of 700 MPa but higher blank holder pressure of 3372 kN. The analysis provides data on forming automotive panels using superplastic forming with different aluminum materials.
Workshop on high efficiency and low-cost drivetrains for electric vehicles
The workshop presented the innovations that are currently being developed by three EU-funded projects under the European Green Vehicles Initiative (EGVI): ModulED, ReFreeDrive and DRIVEMODE.
The H2020 research programme on energy and transport has more than 50 projects on EVs running. The three projects above work on the next generation of Electric Drive Trains. The three projects started at the same time and are all three more or less in the middle of their trajectory (March 2019). Basic decisions have already been made, now the implementation will follow.
These projects are expected to deliver an incremental reduction in total motor and power electronics system costs through optimised design for manufacture. A key challenge is to increase the specific torque and specific power of electric motors by 30%, with a 50% increase in maximum operating speed while halving motor losses. In addition, the motors will cost less because of a reduced need for rare earth magnets combined with new designs which have been optimised for lower cost manufacturing processes.
As for power electronics, the projects are expected to deliver a 50% increase in power density, a 50% reduction in losses and the ability to operate with the same cooling liquids and temperatures used for the combustion engine in hybrid configurations.
