The Minnesota Zoo has partnered with Fair State Brewing Cooperative to create a limited edition beer called the Dakota Skipper Endangered Reserve. From July 25 to August 7, $1 from every beer purchased will be donated to the Zoo's Prairie Butterfly Conservation Program. The program works to save endangered butterflies like the Poweshiek skipperling and Dakota skipper by creating "insurance populations" and studying wild populations. Participants can learn about native butterflies and help conservation efforts by purchasing the Dakota Skipper Endangered Reserve beer during its limited release period.
