A team created an app called MovieMate to help pre-driving teens plan movie outings with friends. The app combines features from other popular apps like Google Maps, Fandango, and Facebook to allow teens to choose a movie, check showtimes, invite friends, coordinate transportation, and purchase tickets all in one place. The team conducted user research, created paper prototypes, and developed a full flash prototype to test with teens. MovieMate aims to make planning events easier for teens who rely on public transportation or parents to get around.

2. PROBLEM STATEMENT:
Currently, to organize an event, pre-driving teens must use a
number of different mobile applications to get all of the information
they need and their friends together.
Each separate service provides the user with excellent and detailed
information, however they are not designed to seamlessly integrate
with each other.
MovieMate takes features from many popular services such as
Google Maps, Fandango, and Facebook and merges them into
one application. In addition, the application provides the user with
a way to coordinate transportation for all of the people attending
the event.

-What if a user wants to see which of his or her friends are
free before making plans?
-What if a friend is invited and they want to go but they don’t
want to see the movie that the coordinator has chosen?
-Can we add the order in which kids will get picked up if
they are car-pooling?
-Can users purchase the tickets through the application?
-What if a movie is rated R? Pre-driving teens will not be
old enough to see the movie without a parent.
