BARCELONAGUIDE TASKS AND FINAL PRODUCTS A )General Idea Explore aspect of our own culture and of the culture of the students we are working with, (Holland and Canada).  Work on  aspects such as landmarks , festivities, traditions, gastronomy and music.and famous personalities and create an e-guide.
1) Tasks  Barcelonaconnections   blog Task1 : Short Video Presentation Write a short introduction about yourself Task 2  Interviewing tourists in Barcelona City center Prepare 15 questions you could ask tourists and film the interview.  Task3:  Look for a good videoclip about Barcelona and embed it  on the blog Task4 : Landmarks Choose landmarks and write about them, include pictures. You can also use windows movie maker- voicethread presentation about Barcelona . Task 5:  Barcelona nightlife , Restaurants and Entertainment Recommend a restaurant, pub, bar or disco. Upload a picture and  write a short comment where you state why you like this  Task 6:  Choose a  recipe ,  upload a picture and write the instuctions so that our collegues will be able to cook it Task 7:  Accomodation Present some hotels where tourists could possibly go.  Task  about Barcelona to see how much you know.
Task 8: Famous personalities Choose a famous person related to the city and make a presentation. Task 10: Typical Catalan You should present things which are typical for Catalonia Sardana,Pa amb Tomaquet,Gegants Correfocs,Castellers,Sant JordiCatalan Flag,Barça,Els segadors,El cant dels ocells,Cagatió,Lamona,ElCaganer Tasks11Present some of our festivities,such as la castanyada, Sant Joan,San Jordi, All Saint's day, Christmas and the Three wise King, Task 13 Catalan Music Bands.  Present some comtemporary music band or singer Task 14   Multiple-choice test for our colleagues from Canada and Holland .You will have to prepare 5o multiple-choice questions about the content of this blog and send them to our colleagues. Task 15 Do the multiple-choice test about Barcelona to see how much you know.

BLOG HOLLANDCONNECTIONS Make a mindmap. What does the word The Netherlands suggest to you. Task1 :Introducing yourself to the other students. Write a short presentation where you giveinformationabout your daily life, likes, dislikes, school, family, future dreams etc Task2: Make the Holland quizzes to see how much you already know about holland and its  cultures Task 3  Watch the videoclip about the Stereotypes. What stereotypes does the video mention. How are the Dutch in  reality .
Task 4  Fun facts about Holland. Find a suitable picture to illustrate each of the funfacts. Task 5 Browse through the Webpages given about life in The Netherlands and particularly about the way they tackle the water problem. Try to find the answers to the  Questions . Task 6  Read about chantal’s life in the Netherlands and learn abouT the importance of windmills in the  past.
Task 8 Vincent Van Gogh.   Read through the web pages and read his biograpy. Do the quizzes to see how much you know. Look at the gallery of his paintings.  Upload 5 pictures from Van Gogh on the blog and comment on  them . Task 9 Anne Frank.  Read and watch her  lifestory  and do the  quizzes . -Make an imaginary interview with questions you could ask her and answers you could get by incorporating the information. Using  http:// www.learningtools.arts.ubc.ca / timeline.htm   create an on-line time line indicating the most important events in  her life. Final Product:  Produce an ISUU on-line magazine about the Netherlands
