One day when the crowds were being
baptized, Jesus himself was baptized.As he
was praying, the heavens opened, and the
Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on
him like a dove.And a voice from heaven
said,“You are my dearly loved Son, and
you bring me great joy.

4. John 10:40-42
Once again they attempted to seize Jesus,
but he escaped miraculously from their
clutches. Then Jesus went back to the
place where John had baptized him at the
crossing of the Jordan.

Many came out to where he was and said
about him,“Even though John didn’t
perform any miracles, everything he
predicted about his man is true!”
And many people become followers of
Jesus at the Jordan and believed in him.

6. Baptism Is:
• Complete identification with Christ--
You are ONE with Him!
• Colossians 2:11-15
• Immersion--into the reality of the
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. That
which is immersed takes on the
qualities of the substance into which
it is immersed!

ruled by an evil master called
sin is over and done with for
good! You have a new master,
Jesus, who is good and grants
you his freedom instead!

you can jump into your Papa’s arms
any time you want to without fear!!

who have been united with Christ in

9. Baptism Is:
• An entrance into a life ruled by the
Spirit of God where anything is
possible!
• Acts 2:38 “Peter replied, ‘Repent
and be baptized, every one of you, in
the name of Jesus Christ for the
forgiveness of your sins. And you
will receive the gift of the Holy
Spirit.’”
