Tim Berners Lee proposed the start of the World Wide Web (WWW) in 1989. His boss termed the proposal "vague but exciting." Early designs of the periodic table were created by Dmitri Mendeleev. A patent was issued in 1986 for 3D printing, which was ahead of its time. Graphene, a material that allows for the isolation of single layers, was discovered in 2004 by Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov at the University of Manchester using adhesive tape. Jaap Haartsen invented Bluetooth in 1994 but had to fight for the patent, which was finally issued in his name in 2013. KFC uses a similar feedback form.
