RECORDS SYSTEM
ln January 1986 CWU adopted an electronic record system.
Students enrolled prior to Winter 1986 have separate transcripts
reflecting their previous work.
CLASS STANDING
Undergraduate students are classifled by level on the basis of credit
hours earned plus transfer credit, if applicable.

completed by the end of the term, but the student has
satisfactorily completed a sufficient po(ion of the course
and can be expected to finish without having to reenroll.

instruction is not yet completed.
NR - No grade reported.
NS - No Show. No evidence of attendance.
TRANSCRIPT NOTATIONS
Advance Placement Credits (AP) - Students may receive credits
for high school advanced placement examinations. Subject areas
and earned credit are noted on transcript.
College Level Examination Program {CLEP) - Test scores at 50th
percentile or above accepted in some subject areas.
Credit by Exam - Students may challenge specific coursework and
receive a l'Satisfactory" grade.
Military Credits - Credits may be granted for military service upon
proof of service and/or schooling.
Vocational Technical Credits - Under certain conditions the
University will grant up to 45 credits for matriculated students who
have had experience in industry.
TRANSFER CREDIT
Grades for work transferred from another institution are not
QUARTER CREDITS
180 credits are required for graduation with a minimum 2.00 grade
point average.
GRADE POINT AVERAGE
Grade point averages will be calculated by dividing grade points
