Axel Lundberg undertook a work integrated learning project at Griffith University investigating strategies to increase participation in international exchange opportunities. As part of the project, Axel researched Griffith's website and other universities' sites, met with staff and students, conducted a student survey, produced a report of findings and recommendations, and presented to a committee. His supervisor found Axel engaged and that his research, communication, and computing skills were excellent. The outcome of Axel's investigations assisted the supervisor and some recommendations will be implemented.

This is to advise that Axel Lundberg, a 3rd
year student at Griffith University participated in an
Internship under the Griffith Business School’s Work Integrated Learning program (WIL). I was
Axel’s supervisor during his participation in the project throughout Semester 2, 2015.
The project Axel undertook related to investigating a communication strategy to help increase the
number of Griffith Business School students participating in international outbound exchange
opportunities operated by Griffith Global Mobility.
I meet with Alex weekly during the semester to discuss the project and to receive updates on his
progress. His investigations included a number of strategies, including:
• researching Griffith University’s web site;
• researching domestic and international universities’ web sites;
• undertaking meetings with Griffith Academic and Professional staff (including staff from the
office of Griffith Global Mobility) and Griffith students;
• producing a questionnaire and managing a survey of students to gain an understanding of
students’ awareness of outbound international opportunities;
• producing a report on his findings and recommendations; and
• presenting his findings and recommendations to the Griffith Business School Internationalisation
Committee held on 30 October 2015 (including producing a PowerPoint presentation).
The outcome of his investigations has assisted me in my portfolio and I will initiate a number of his
recommendations to help improve our outbound global mobility numbers.
I found Axel at all times to be polite, enthusiastic and very engaged in the project. His research,
communication and computing skills are excellent. I would be happy to recommend Axel to any
