I carried out my survey on the internet via survey online website, this
enabled people to complete my audience giving me feedback as to how they
want my film to be. They also stated what types of film they may watch, this
will enable me to understand and know what my audience want to watch.

52 people completed my survey
                        via internet.

Face book may be a better way of showing my film to
people so that I get more views rather than simply
emailing people the link to the view the film.

survey via Face 4% of my audience completed my survey through
book. my blog, I now realise that this was a weak way of
                        distributing my survey to people.
52 people who have completed my surveys was in the United
Kingdom. This is because I sent to people through face book as I do not
have any anonymous friends that I do not know from another country.
I also distributed the survey by simply emailing people the website
address of the survey. Due to all people who have completed my
survey were in United Kingdom may also show that viewers from
London are only interested in the type of film I am producing.
Most people completed the survey throughout the month of October 2012, I
needed a minimum of 20 people to complete the survey however 52 people
completed the survey after 2 weeks of putting it up on face book and emailing it
to people.

                           a twist.

1 (1.92%) have said they want any other ending,
this could be a sad and a happy ending both.

I have decided to go against the highest result
of a happy ending and decided to do a sad
ending instead, as I want to leave my audience
with thoughts after my film. When a film ends
happily the audience forget about the film and
do not think of the film. I want to leave my
audience with messages and also thoughts for
             them to think about.
AUDIENCE REVIEWS HELPED ME
            TO…?
My audience reviews has helped me to
understand my audience better in terms of
what they want to watch and what they
expect form my film, this allows me to get
more ideas on how to create my film ot be
unique an dot suit their needs. It also means
that I am able to see who my target audience
is and so I am aware of what type of imagery I
could include in my film for 12+.

Audience profile

  • 1. I carried out my survey on the internet via survey online website, this enabled people to complete my audience giving me feedback as to how they want my film to be. They also stated what types of film they may watch, this will enable me to understand and know what my audience want to watch. http://freeonlinesurveys.com/app/mysurveys.asp
  • 2. 52 people completed my survey via internet. Face book may be a better way of showing my film to people so that I get more views rather than simply emailing people the link to the view the film. 4% of my audience completed the survey through my blog. 96% of my audience completed the survey via Face 4% of my audience completed my survey through book. my blog, I now realise that this was a weak way of distributing my survey to people.
  • 3. 52 people who have completed my surveys was in the United Kingdom. This is because I sent to people through face book as I do not have any anonymous friends that I do not know from another country. I also distributed the survey by simply emailing people the website address of the survey. Due to all people who have completed my survey were in United Kingdom may also show that viewers from London are only interested in the type of film I am producing.
  • 4. Most people completed the survey throughout the month of October 2012, I needed a minimum of 20 people to complete the survey however 52 people completed the survey after 2 weeks of putting it up on face book and emailing it to people.
  • 5. My audience that completed my survey were the ages between 13 and 17, this age group was my target audience before I created the survey. Which means that this age group will enjoy the film which I will produce. My audience are old enough as they are either teenagers or young adults so that they are able to watch a psychological drama, during teen age they are able to understand everything happening in the film without questioning it in relation to the real world. Two people of the age 13 complet ed my survey which is 3.8% out of 10 0%. my mpleted of the age 14 co a 12 people f 52 people, this is survey out o %. ge of 23.1 percenta 7 people com pleted my su of 15 which le rvey at the a aves a perce ge Two of my audience did not specify ntage of 13.5 %. their age, this could mean they are either younger than 13 or older at the than 17 or in between. However eted my survey 15 people compl ge of this is only 2 people out of 52 aves a percenta This allows me to be aware of who wants to watch my film and audience response which is 3.8% age of 16, this le also these ages cannot be generalised for all age groups. My and so I do not need to take into 28.8%. target audience are teenagers and so I now know what they account of an anonymous age. 14 people of want to watch, this also allows me to understand my target the age 17 co survey which mpleted my audience views on films better. Is 26.9%.
  • 6. My main character will be female because majority of my audience who have completed my survey were female. Deals with gender stereotypes I will include male characters in my film so that there is a mixture of genders rather than my film only applying to girls rather than boys.
  • 7. THE HUSTLER 14 INTERNET AUDIENCE REVIEWS OF FILMS THE SEVENTH SEAL 8 FROM ROTTEN TOMATOES The Hustler belongs to that school of screen realism that allows impressive PERSONA 4 performances but defeats the basic goal of pure entertainment. WILD STRAWBERRIES 9 The seventh seal was Profound, existentialist and visually stunning. wisely TAXI DRIVER 7 narrated by an inspired Bergman. THE CONVERSATION 2 Persona is a work of many possible readings -- any of which provide deeply disturbing looks into the psyche of the characters or character. FIGHT CLUB 5 Wild Strawberries is It's most memorable due to the heartfelt sterling PAN’S LABRYNTH 1 performance by the seventy-something Victor Seastrom. SILENCE OF THE LAMBS 1 Taxi Driver is a brilliant study of alienation, obsession, paranoia and perverse desire. There's an undeniable power and grittiness that very few films have come close to capturing since. 8 ½ 1 52 people stated all these psychological drama’s being their favourite. From the reviews above I have to make sure my film is visually stunning and also make it heartfelt when Jessica’s fiancé leaves her for another women on her big day. During this moment the audience should feel exactly how Jessica would feel.
  • 8. gory audience is cate My main target casual E, mostly students and workers. This allows me to understand that my audience cannot afford to buy an expensive film and so it may be better for me to post it on the internet so that are bale to view it for free. By knowing that my target audience are explorers means that they want to adapt on their knowledge and view new things which I will try to include in my film.
  • 9. 8 PEOPLE STATED THAT THEY HOWEVER ONLY TWO HAVE STATED THAT THEY WORK AS A SALES ASSITANT OR A SALES ADVISOR. ONE STATED THAT THEY BOTH WORK AND ARE IN EDUCATION, THE REST ARE STILL IN EDUCATION, THIS MEANS THAT I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT MY FILM DOES NOT COST THEM ANYTHING TO WATCH IT.
  • 10. 50- YES 2-NO My target audience are succeeders and strugglers. Seek c ontrol, strong and co nfiden goals ce. rgy cove ry, ene Seek dis lisms and ua individ rience. expe 28-INDEPENDENT 24-ISOLATED
  • 11. Most of my audience have probably read this poem during their GCSE as this poem is a part of the english literature exam. I need my audience to understand the poem so that they are 32 able to understand my film, this means 20 that they are able to read a poem and watch a film. There is a also a novel by Charles Dickens which inspired Carol Ann Duffy to write the poem Haisham.

I also need to find a way for my audience to choose to watch my films when ever they watch a film rather than any other films.
  • 13. 25 (48.08%) have said they would like my film to end happily. 20 (38.46%) have said they would like a sad ending. 6 (11.54%) of my audience said they want an ending with a twist. 1 (1.92%) have said they want any other ending, this could be a sad and a happy ending both. I have decided to go against the highest result of a happy ending and decided to do a sad ending instead, as I want to leave my audience with thoughts after my film.
